Why did you join the temp and what’s some of your favorite memories on the temp?
Before I joined this forum I had never known anything about console hacking but was a member on a bunch of other forums, mostly related to gaming and game development.
In the shoutbox of another forum, someone mentioned "ironhax", a new exploiit on 3ds and linked a tweet by smealum. This piqued my interest so I did a bunch of research and ended up on this forum because it had a wealth of information on the topic. Being that I was interested in talking on forums at the time, I signed up for no reason other than to say hello and potentially talk about 3ds hacking or get support for it in the coming months.
The thriving and friendly community here at the time was what made me stay, and I've checked gbatemp almost every day since then, out of habit. It's the only forum I still visit and one of my websites I check every day as part of my daily routine.
I have a lot of fond memories from the temp, all the friends I've made and the funny times we shared.
But my most prominent and most dear to me is the kind and warm welcome I got. Nobody mocked or judged me for being new and being a bit of a weirdo, the people I met were extremely kind, understanding and welcoming. I haven't had that kind of welcome in any other community.
