I do not think 2.4 GHz is the processor frequency - most high-end smartphones with significant gaming orientation only run on up to 1 GHz these days, and it is not like clock speed means ANYTHING AT ALL without details about the type of processor.
The 2.4 GHz likely refer to the wireless connectivity, as the range around 2.4 GHz carrier frequency is a range without monopolistic licensing, which allows its use for various connectivity technologies, such as WiFi, Bluetooth, Microwave ovens and quite a few proprietary RF links. Not linked to clock speed at all, and conforming to a standard already present in the original DS, which had 802.11b WiFi at 2.4 GHz.

That question made no sense.

- The 3DS has two 1GHz processors
- YouTube videos are "loading, loading, loading and i not how long loading for about 5 min" because of the internet connection speed.
- The frequency of the Wi-Fi doesn't matter really.

Fishaman is correct. The 3DS DOES NOT have a 2.4ghz processor.
That would just be crazy :P

When it comes to youtube buffering, 99.99% of the time, that is more dependent on internet speed. Of course, if the system doesn't have enough RAM and a really slow processor, it will have trouble with the internet in general...

I once had an old computer with a 900mhz processor and a 8mb nvidia card. It could handle youtube with no issues whatsoever... If the 3DS is any good at all in terms of optimization and if it can support flash/java/etc... I dont think it will have any trouble with youtube, provided you're running a decent wifi connection with little interference.

Fishaman / kylehaas are basically right.
Though, i don't know where the hell fishaman got that "two 1Ghz cpu's" from... it has 2 266Mhz CPU's and a PICA-200 graphics chip + ~64MB RAM.

Really not that hard to find out.. (but most of the information is unconfirmed though)

" 3DS is powered by twin ARM11 CPUs clocked at a relatively meagre 266MHz, while overall system storage (sans SD card) is 1.5GB. Onboard RAM is 64MB, with 4MB of video memory. DMP's PICA-200 graphics chip is said to be running at a relatively lightweight 133MHz."

It would be enough for a dedicated youtube application to view videos in ok quality, but viewing the standard youtube webpage would be rather sluggish probably (if they don't manage to accelerate the rendering with the GPU)
