So ive been searching for a week now, my dsi is not stuck in a death black screen, but its similar to this, as it does charge correctly, but the screens wont turn on, ive tried to hard format it, useless, remove the battery, useless, as its not the black screen of death, no need to bother with the fuses, someone said in another forum that they had a similar problem and fixed it by reseting the wifi board, can someone explain to me what is the wifi board and how do i reset it, in case needed, this is the reason the console bricked: Installing "The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Aniversary Edition 25th", the sd card went out (due to a problem with the sd slot´s springs) and the installer said: an error has ocurred while installing, or could not install correctly, i dont recall, then it froze, i turned it off and here we are
i dont remember now, maybe it was hiyacfw, i cannot recall, then, if its not the wifi board, what else can i do?, i really want to have my old dsi unbricked, as its a momento from my mother
so it was said that to hardformat you simply need to press every botton besides d-pad and then power off, and also a+b wont work, i deactivated unlaunch (i was a kid soo...)
also, i searched, the app i used was something called twlnf
You could try holding the A/B button individually while turning it on. You check the sdcard adapter if it has the slide locked. Backup the contents of the sd card and test it with h2testw if it's faulty. All of these could contribute to what you're experiencing.
as i said, this happenned 3-4 years ago, the sd card i used before is now formated, i have not tried them individually, but i removed hiyacfw/unlaunch before it bricked, and i think the sd card has nothing to do with this
the sd card only has the first of all bricking part, none else, i kinda remember deactivating something, unlaunch i think, maybe not, i formated my sd card because in that times, i lost hope in reviving my ds, so i could use it for other things, pressing a/b alone while powering on does nothing btw
no, as i formatted where the only copy of the backup was ( any other nand backup might work right?), in any case, pressing a+b seems to open unlaunch (not my case), do i need my sd card back and put right in any boot.nds file or not?
Do not use any nand backup. Put the Unlaunch files where they supposed to be and test again with button combo
If Unlaunch was uninstalled *and* twlnf bricked it, any attempts at starting it would be fruitless. Twlnf in general is a bad idea

how do i do any nand backup, and if its possible, where do i get one? (TWL-001, Classic Dsi (the white model, not xl))
