I wanted to sort the order of my games but trying out both filer 6.0, 6.6 and Content Manager 1.8 wouldnt work. i could get it to run and all just fine, even set the file order i wanted to but closing and restarting or resetting VHS wouldnt change the order of the games. they stayed the same. going back into the plugins/programs would still show the new sorted order i wanted but it just wouldnt apply it.

yeah, i saved it, hit "apply", and when i open the plugins and go to change the order its in the order i want them to but it just wont apply. im not sure anymore but i think i didnt even change the order in content manager, it was already in the order i applied in Filer 6.6, so the order is there, its saved and readable by another program but for whatever reason it wont actually apply it in the XMB

ive added some images.
this one shows the order i made in Filer 6.6
this one shows the same order in Content Manager 1.8. i obviously hit "Apply Sort" to apply it
and this is what i get on my psp. the old order that is sorted by whats added last into the folder
i also tried using the sorting feature in Filer 6.6 by pressing the R button and not only does it not apply it, i noticed that when i quit and reopen Filer, the order is reset again.

I use Homebrew Sorter. Runs directly on the PSP and worked with Categories Lite: https://gbatemp.net/download/homebrew-sorter-gui.30427/

I found Content Manager mostly unusable. It would constantly freeze and become unresponsive. I wound up writing my own command line tools to help me manager my games on the PC. It's specific to how I organize games, but if I get some free time I'd like to add a GUI on it and see if anyone else would find it useful. The tools don't do anything that Content Manager doesn't do though.

Don't know. I found Content Manager too much trouble (although it has a very nice feature set in theory). I've never tried Filer. I use CM FileManager for basic file management tasks on the PSP and Homebrew Sorter is simple and just works for me. I don't think the PSP scene has lots of active development these days and not everything works with every plugin, etc.
