Hacking Wads in vWii and HBC installation

Hi, I'm going to hack a Wii U that I recently bought, but I have a couple of doubts:
1. I installed several virtual console games via WAD Manager on my old Wii to transfer via the Nintendo program. Should I patch the IOS 80 or do some kind of thing to get the games to work?
2. Regarding the transfer, should I do the transfer first and then the hack or vice versa?

1. imo, best way to install wad files is emunand. should be no risk, and there's unlimited storage afaik.
2. I'm not sure if pirated games transfer, so I can't really help there.

Transferring Wii backups to your HDD USB drive requires Wii Backup Manager, get it here: http://www.wiibackupmanager.co.uk/downloads.html
I recommend first hack (softmod) your Wii U first, then softmod its vWii mode, then you can use homebrew on vWii.

VC WADs can be installed too on vWii, but beware, you must have a proper bricking protection on the vWii before doing that.

I have DumpMii NAND but I don't know if it is enough protection against bricks and I don't know how to use it in case I have a problem, I am new to this subject, and I am a little lost.

I also have to say, I have used WadInformer to avoid some kind of problem with the WADs banner.

emunand is good to remove brick risk. if you install a forwarder, make sure it's the vwii version of it.

Ok, I have USB Loader GX ready, I will activate emunand from there, I suppose that the copy made with DumpMii will be enough.

I just downloaded the USB Loader GX forwarder, the vwii version.

not sure, but usb loader gx can make an emunand for you. it's under features.

usb loader gx can even inject wad files into the emunand. that's also under features. just set up the emunand with its custom path in the custom paths section.

But not all Wii forwarders have vWii versions of it.

I've made a tool for convert original Wii forwarders in WAD for make them compatible with the vWii mode of Wii U.
