You fixed all the biggest issues there were for few years, like boot sequence, VC/WW patching!! (I didn't find the fix on github), or homebrew/wigsc launching.
That was certainly the goal with this release. Although some of the issues I discovered by accident, like I didn't know that VC/WW patching was broken until I was working on deflicker filter patching (that's the commit the fix is in) and noticed that it wasn't getting applied no matter what settings I used.

Personally I'm most happy with the corrected analog stick ranges, since that fixes longstanding issues for some controllers.

I see you worked on wifi_gecko, I had the idea to store the log in memory until you can send it to wifi once the network is enabled, so you get logs of pre-network events (boot sequence, unfortunately not post events like game launching). I see you named a variable "gecko buffer", is that what's it doing now ?
Correct. It'll store it in memory and then when WiFi is initialised on the Wii it'll transfer everything over with nothing missing :)

Edit:
I edited the first post to reflect the fact your version is the latest/best version to get, and marked it as "latest official".
Thank you!

I'll be uploading all of my older releases to GitHub soon too, so that should eventually make my fork easier to find and download.

@Troopage Update to the newest version, since that includes some fixes that might help with your situation. Just make sure you replace all of the files.

@Draxikor I haven't tested this, but I think when it can't find it on your SD card it'll try loading it from your HDD.

@Cyan Are you still using an older version of Firefox? If not then that issue might be caused by an extension, since I'm using Firefox and everything loads.

@cloud-strife777 You'll find a lot of info about it here.

If your Wii isn't set to output 480p then you should probably leave the setting alone, unless you know exactly what you're doing.

To clarify, if you're using the standard red white and yellow cables then there's no advantage to enabling the deflicker option, right?

I'm on 60.9.0esr, maybe because of esr. thanks
I can confirm that it's because you're using an old ESR version. The GitHub homepage even displays "GitHub no longer supports this web browser" at the top.

The latest Firefox ESR version is 78.12 and in a week or two it'll be 91.0.

@XFlak If you're using the standard red, white and yellow cables then in most cases you shouldn't touch the setting since it might make your eyes hurt. There are some exceptions to this recommendation though. For example, the "ON (Low)" or "ON (Medium)" settings will simply reduce the filter strength and one of them might benefit you if your output is 480i.

Be careful when you say "enabling the deflicker option" by the way, since in most cases you'd use "OFF (Safe)" or "OFF (Extended)" and not the ON settings.

I use 480p HDMI converter to 1080p + mclassic 1440p.
What setting must I use for the deflicker filter?
OFF (Safe) is the recommended setting, since that should work for most games without introducing any visual issues (no broken fade in/out effects or brightness effects).

Resident Evil 4 uses a lot of dithering and the filter normally hides it, so for that game you might want to try using the "ON (Low)" or "ON (Medium)" settings instead.

@blackb0x thanks for everything :)
do you think we could see a version of this for gamecube games ? i know there is already a deflicker on nintendont but im not sure it removes things fully like your "extended" version, also could there be a way to completely remove all dithering from wii games?

@pedro702 @ccfman2004 @Cyan would you know if the nintendont deflicker option removes all filtering completely for gamecube games like blackb0x "extended" option for wii games ?

Filtering removal through Nintendont works with pretty much every game, with only two games I have found needing to be modded for it, R: Racing Evolution and Soul Calibur II, and you can find how to edit them on the thread we were using to discuss the deflicker filter.

But for the vast majority, just force video ntsc or pal60 and you're set.

I think cheats did work before, so they should still work now. And that applies to both NAND and emuNAND.

Hello @blackb0x ,

First of all, your new release is really terrific. I'm trying a lot of games since yesterday, to the point that I haven't touched my translation of Line Attack Heroes !

About the cheats working on emuNAND, I get the following message when trying to boot Megaman 9 and 10:

"Ocarina is not supported with neek2o yet. Launch game anyway?"

If I choose "yes", the games boot indeed, but they don't have the corrected aspect ratio, either in 4:3 or 16:9.

If I remember correctly, neek2o is needed to boot games like Castlevania Rebirth, and that must be why I installed it (has been quite a long time since I created my emuNand).

Is there maybe another setting to boot an Emunand game that doesn't need neek2o?

Yours truly.

That'll be a neek2o issue, which I don't know a great deal about since I've always used the loaders built in emuNAND options.

I actually have Castlevania ReBirth installed to my NAND, since that worked around compatibility issues for me.

Swiss' works on those two games and doesn't break the fades.

Thank you for your answer : I set "Nand Chan. emulation" general setting to "full" on general setting, and only left "neek" for Castlevania and Contra Rebirth, which to my knowledge are the only two games I have that need this.

Everything is working like a charm now : I can play Megaman with the "correct aspect ratio" cheat, and still have access to the "Rebirth" games.

would be amazing if all dithering could be removed and full 24bit color applied

edit: "wii used 32bit internally, and FrontBuffer was usually 16bit to save VRam"
