Insider report claims that Sony has delayed Horizon Forbidden West to 2022

sadasdasdas.png

Bloomberg has another insider report to share, and no, it's not about a Nintendo Switch Pro. According to reputable industry insider Jason Schrier, a huge PlayStation exclusive might not make the cut for release in 2021. Initially revealed last year during a showcase of upcoming PlayStation 5 games, Horizon Forbidden West was given a general 2021 release window. Although, later during May's State of Play live stream that exclusively focused on the game, there was no mention of any launch timeframe. Within the last week, a rumor began to pick up, saying that Sony was considering delaying Horizon Forbidden West, though no decision had been made. However, Bloomberg is stating that regardless of the rumor, Sony had already made the choice to delay the game into Q1 2022. For now, nothing has been officially confirmed, and Horizon Forbidden West is on track to release on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

Most people are not complaining about her visual changes because "o no shes not hot anymore!1!", they're complaining because it's jarring. She looks like she got stung by a bee and had an allergic reaction. And then paid someone to surgically replace her teeth with the teeth of Syndrome from The Incredibles.

She doesn't look like she aged, she looks like she needs an epipen because she's going into anaphylactic shock.

That's just weird to me it's my biggest gripe with the remaster. Can you imagine if we were cool with that in movies? Actor didn't pull off the character well enough? Let's just digitally replace him with another actor for the George Lucas style special edition.

At least no actual person was done such an injustice since it's all video game graphics in the Spider-Man game and the voice actor wasn't replaced, but all the same it just feels so unnecessary and needlessly splinters the playerbase over nonsense.

I wouldn't mind if the Spider-Man remaster still gave us the option to use the original Peter and we could toggle between our personal preference, but forcing such a change on the player is kinda lame in my opinion.

1) Actors HAVE been replaced in movies and in tv series.

2) It wasn't just a pointless change. It was done to better match the voice actor, so your previous "the voice no longer felt like it even belonged to the new body it was coming out of" comment can be discarded. ;) The original model was horrendous looking. Especially that hair, dumb look on his face, and bad lip-syncing.

"why isn't she as thin as she was before, this is UNACCEPTABLE"

Say the 400+ lb guys who struggle getting up from the couch to go to the fridge and get their 5th mountain dew before noon.

1. Not in THAT way. I'm talking a film releases in theaters. Then 5 years later the film is rereleased with an actor digitally cut out and a new one put in it's place. That's the kind of actor (model) replacement we're talking here, and as far as I'm aware this has not yet happened.

2. It's ultimately an uneeded change, that needlessly had the playbase choosing sides, like we're doing here. Seems like a real dumb thing to cause a minor controversy over. You actually like the new model, that's cool, I fucking hate it, think it looks awful and doesn't fit the voice (and yes I'm well aware the change was done to make the model more resemble the voice actor, all the same his own voice seemed much more convincing out of a model that wasn't his own, how sad is that lol). Again, just let the player have the option to choose which model they'd prefer. Why not let me just have an option for "Old Peter On/Off" then we could all be happy and not have to debate over which model was better.

Once again, someone who hasn't even been reading the complaints thinks this issue is about looks. Like is anyone seriously jacking off to the protagonist of Horizon Zero Dawn? Pretty sad choice of wank material if you are.

No, again, the issue that most of us have is that it's just inconsistent. If she was chubby from the start, I'd have no problem with the move whatsoever, but no, this new game takes place 6 months after the last game, and somehow she's put on years of weight in her jowls in that amount of time, and this is after a game where she's running jumping, tumbling, nonstop, I find it hard to accept she somehow gained that kind of weight gain in that small amount of time.

Do you act the same way when a movie is remade or music is remastered and it's not to your liking/standards? Like every copy of the original version in the world has been destroyed and is no longer available for you to enjoy?

Still doesn't work for the example, because the version with the original actor wasn't released to theaters to only then later have a new version with another actor. As I recall that actor got in some hot water, so they replaced them before the film was released. What happens behind closed doors prior to release is a bit different than giving us a piece of art, and then later rereleasing that art and saying that someone in it wasn't right and they've been replaced, forget that version you think you know, that actor just isn't there anymore.

Remakes are not the same as a remaster. Remake Spider-Man or James Bond all you like with different actors, I have zero problem with that, because that's a different take on that character and story. But if suddenly the new MCU Spider-Man films were rereleased with Andrew Garfield in Tom's role for absolutely no good reason beyond some executive thinking that he just seemed like he fit in that position better, then you better believe I'd have an issue with that.

You've moved your goal posts in each example by a pretty good amount. Not worth discussing any further.

Um, I really didn't at all. My feelings and point have been the same from the start. I'm not sure if maybe they just weren't very clear, or you read too fast, but my stance hasn't changed or altered here.

Those goal posts have been moved soooo far now, what completely different points I've been making here.

Oh I absolutely think the change to Peter Parker in the Spider-Man video game was completely unwarranted, stupid, and ultimately for the worse. They tried to age him down to make him seem more like the current movie iteration of Peter Parker, but given where Peter is at in his life in the game, it doesn't make sense to make him look like a younger Peter, they had it right the first time, not to mention the voice no longer felt like it even belonged to the new body it was coming out of. I genuinely do not understand moves like that.

I could just shrug it off, sure, but when there is no good reason for it, and it only hurts the lore of the game, I can't support the move. I'm sure I'll enjoy the game all the same, but I hate that, it's like needlessly adding a glaring plot-hole for no good reason.

Also, I have no issue with character looking better as tech goes on, sure Fox looks way different than his SNES days, but that just feels like an evolution of the technology of the gaming systems he's appeared in over the years. It's not like he went from being an athletic looking character to a slob of a character between 2 titles without explanation.
To be honest, I kind of agree with Peter Paker's case, but in Aloy's case I really think there's a lot of exaggeration in the post here.

To be honest, the first time I saw the gameplay of the game on State of Play I didn't even notice the changes until the internet folks started complaining that it looks fatter and comparing it to the previous game side-by-side.

If it had gotten worse or with a stark difference I would understand, but the differences are so minimal that I really can't believe people on the internet are fighting about it.

I agree with you, it's barely noticeable unless you zoom in the 2 screen-shots side by side. You would never notice this when playing the game with robots attacking you from all sides. Even during cut-scenes or dialog it won't be noticeable. Possibly all the drama and controversy has been fueled by a case of console wars.

Uh. This is hella deflection. You're expecting people not to notice she looks severely off compared to before. IN CUTSCENES. Not only that, you're expecting this whole thing to be about Console wars - when some to many here don't even PLAY the game, don't CARE about what the frick ever PLATFORM (because a PC is ultimately not a console) it's on, etc etc. You're trying your damnedest to convince us that the Earth ain't shaking when an Earthquake just took out a whole building, in an essence.

Nah, that is BS. She just has different looks, and it would be good if it is justified plotwise (e.g. the medicinal salvebrush allergic reaction "theory").

If it has no reason that goes together with the plot it would feel cheap, like a recast in a movie sequel.
