The .rpx launcher finally got fixed... but now the explore tab is crashing the console.
I can't reproduce this, is there something specific you're doing?
@MarioSilva have you cleaned your retroarch.cfg file?
That issue, which Quark can't reproduce, could be linked to a corrupted cfg file.
Try deleting it and entering the Explore tab again, see if you can reproduce it after deleting the file.

It's usually recommended to delete the CFG file after updating the version anyway. Learned that the hard way

Indeed, my friend
It's the MO of updates for RetroArch.
Something fucked up? Delete the CFG :tpi:

Somewhat off topic, but do you know how well RA runs on the Series X by chance? My brother's currently borrowing the Wii U, so since the Series doesn't need a mod, was curious :P

From what I know RA runs stunningly on the Series X.
I know it can even run Dolphin and PCSX2 at full speed, and I think even at higher resolutions that the original console, so make of that what you want :P

Am I the only one that feels that by Microsoft allowing us to naturally be able to implement the likes of Retroarch into our Xbox without going through any hoops to mod our system, kinda takes away some of the magic of what it is to have Retroarch running on your system to begin with? I dunno, it's a pretty dumb thing to be feeling, I'm aware, but since the Xbone there has been no crazy Xbox modding scene because Microsoft said, hey here's dev mode, have fun. Which is truly great, but I love the feeling you have when you can show off your Switch or Wii U or PS4 or whatever and showcase things on there that were never intended to be on there at all, and there was even security in place that was supposed to forbid such a thing from ever being on there. Now with Xbox it feels hardly any different than downloading and installing Retroarch to your PC.

To be fair and honest, Microsoft's move to allow any kind of user to have development access to the console, and/or even add apps on it without modding the console, is an absolute beast of a move to discourage hacking teams and other hacking devs to delve into the system too much.

From what I know, the X One hasn't been hacked to this day, and the fact that both PS4 and Switch got hacked and the One hasn't is a great indicative that the move towards allowing third party apps on the system officially by just a modest pay for dev access (20 bucks iirc) is an incredible feat.

That way, you know for sure that the ones hacking the console would be 100% for piracy, and while I had nothing to say on that matter, that leaves homebrew devs with the ability to still develop apps for the system without going through unofficial libraries and other things. We basically have everything a homebrew scene could only dream of with Microsoft's move; Emulation and a whole lot of other homebrew at out disposal from the get go.

Oh I totally understand and even support why Microsoft has made this move. I just think that ultimately there is a certain magic kind of feeling to modding a console to do things it was never intended to do. And Microsoft have kinda taken away that feeling. Which I'm certain has dramatically cut down on piracy on the Xbox devices. I'm not denying that the move was almost certainly a smart one for Microsoft. But it's still a shame to me to note how that feeling has now faded away from Microsoft systems, their systems feel more and more like PCs because of moves like this, and that's just a little sad to me.

Try deleting it and entering the Explore tab again, see if you can reproduce it after deleting the file.

I was thinking of doing that, I'll try later.

Alright, removed the old configuration file and rescanned all my playlists, the Explore tab seems to be working fine now.

Also, the ozone UI seems to have been fixed, neat.
Apparently even though the Explore tab is working fine for you, turns out there was weirdness going on under the hood.. It's being looked into though :D

Been waiting for a stable release for many years. It seems this is finally it.

You're definitely the only one. The whole point of what we do with videogame consoles is to play games and have fun through the emulation of past cherished retroconsoles. Pirates, being only interested in stealing, just ruin the fun for everyone else. To play the 'hacker game', you could just format and remod a side console over and over again.

It's funny how quickly you were proven wrong with that bolded sentiment:

A lot of the fun of homebrew is getting it to work, so many times I've spent ages setting something up and never actually playing it because that was the fun part lol
