Homebrew (Q): Good Homebrew for Wii U starting out in 2021?

hi all,
im recently getting into wii u homebrew scene,
i ordered my wii u and waiting for it to arrive,
meanwhile i've made my sd card ready to use CFW (CHBC/haxchi).

i was wondering what is/would be good homebrew for a newcommer to use on wii u in 2021,
speficily in my case:

-for Wii/GC games and saves,
-wii u games.

and is Wii U Usb helper a good app to use on pc and is it safe?
as i heard that while you're using it sometinhg about a RAT being on it, not sure how true this is.
and does this program still work in 2021?

also, since im using CHBC/haxchi or will soon,
will i need to use mocha cfw?

also for wii injects, how can i get games that don't use the classic contorller, but the wii remote/nummchuk to use the classic controller
and use the wii u gamepad buttons for these games?

games like:

-metriod prime 3
-sonic rings
-sonic black knight
-pokemon BR
zelda SS

Well, you shouldn't use Wii U USB Helper but honestly you can use it just on a VM

um, yeah exactly that point you made,
since i didn't want to use Wii U usb helper on my windows 7 (32bit) main os on my laptop,
as it is outdated and no longer supporrted by updates from MCsoft,

and not to risk any weird stuff happening from wii u usb helper,
so i decied to use usb helper on my portable windows 10 (32bit) os that is on a HDD (Win2Usb)
& that has nothing important on it, i mainly use that os for uni related work stuff only.

so it was a good fit, plus when im in that os, it is considered the (C

drive, and my windows 7 os on my laptop's HDD can't be seen/accessed when in windows 10 mode.

so, i installed usb helper and tested it to see if it works and it worked great with superspeed enabled

Savemii is good for saves, and if you are talking about downloading wii u games that is illegal. But it can be done through the software you mentioned.

I think the only practical difference is that haxchi requires a purchase of a ds game (cbhc will brick if using a pirated one, and regular haxchi wont work) but its faster to get to, while mocha is free but can take a little longer to get into (either through indexiine or an exploit site). If you are ok with waiting, aroma is going to come out soon (probably) which lets you launch cfw from the home menu like haxchi, but doesn't require a paid ds game.

I think when using gc vc injects it will ask you if you want to use the wii u pad. I don't know of a way to do it with wii games...

Better use FunKiiUNETThingy (Google it, it is on github)
It's literally the same software without the crappy visual "enhancements" and the RAT malware. Seems to be the predecessor

while you're at it, you may as well cfw the vwii for emulators, backups, and such unless you're mainly using the wii u interface.

IIRC the classic controller hacks are for replacing sideways wiimote, not wiimote+nunchuk. Metroid Prime and Skyward Sword use motion controls, which the classic controller does not have. If you want to use a standard controller with them, you will have to use Dolphin on a computer.

Too… I have installed games from utik download helper and usb helper… haven’t had any problems I also installed cod black ops 2 which isn’t available at usb helper , but it says it has to be in a usb drive
