I do have one big Problem with just one game:

Legend of Heroes - Trails to Azure
TID: 010085B01388A000

I am able to use all EdiZon features.
When applying the english patch
( https://gbatemp.net/threads/the-leg...sh-partial-japanese-patch-qol-patches.590397/ ) I cant use EdiZon anymore.
EdiZon then shows the message: "Dmnt detached from game process, press ZL+B to attach. relaunch EdiZon SE to access this game"
Attaching however does not work.
Using the dmnt fork of TomVita wont work either...

My switch is running:
HOS: 12.1.0
AMS: 19.5
EdiZonSE: 3.8.21


While using an older EdiZon ( 3.8.20 ) dmnt still appears to be detached, I'm yet able to search the HEAP+MAIN and edit some values....
But I cant freeze them.
I'd really appreciate it if someone might be able to help me
Freezing is making use of dmnt's feature. No dmnt no freezing. So is 3.8.20 behaving different from 3.8.21 for you?

I have taken a look and can confirm that the patch cause dmnt to be in the unattached state and I am also not able to get dmnt to attach to the game process. Just the hacked main.npdm is enough to cause the problem. You don't need the rest. (perhaps this is very good news, maybe you don't have to look elsewhere)

edizon se 3.8.22 seems to work fine otherwise (this is another good news, edizon se can attach to the game process) and I would expect the behavior of 3.8.20 and 3.8.21 to be the same.

no dmnt means no cheatVM and that means you can't use cheat code. You have to manually hack the game.

I think your best bet is to talk to those who hack the game to do English. I am curious what could have happened, please let me know if you learn more about this phenomenal. This isn't something I have any know how to help.

To use edizon se without dmnt, you need to turn off auto attach in more option "No auto attach". A third piece of good news is that bookmark with and without pointers works just fine without dmnt. Noexs works fine and pointer searcher se works fine. So you can do everything except you can't have cheatVM code.

If you want to use cheatVM then rename main.npdm to anything else say main.npdm1. You will have no english but cheatVM will be there.

Since edizon se is written assuming that dmnt will be available it isn't that convenient when dmnt isn't around. I will play the Chinese version a bit see if I like it. Maybe make a few codes.

Just a quick question regarding code types and if EdiZon/AMS can support codetypes to increase/decrease values so you could create for example a cheat code to cycle to and from inventory items or increase/decrease item amount (such as ammo)?
You mean a code to say do a +100 to a value in memory?
The problem with atmosphere currently available code type is there isn't one that let you do something base on key down. You can only do key held. With key held it is very hard (can be done, you need to be good with your fingers) to make the code only execute once.
So a +100 can end up to be +200 or +300.

The other problem is current atmosphere code type does not allow you to manipulated value on address that is static, you need to find a pointer to the address. Both problem can be address by small change to dmnt but to get the change request accepted is hard.

Code like this can let you add value.
Say R15 is pointing to the value you want to add to

[Add 100 to content pointed by R15]

I think the behavior should be the same with all recent version of edizon se and you don't need my dmnt fork. "autoattach.txt" was phased out for a long time already.

I am just experimenting and there is now some more weird behavior.

- Adding a cheatfile will crash the game during startup ( I wanted to use your codes )
- EdiZon cant get the build Id ( shown as 0000000000000 )
- Cant search the RAM anymore ( All ranges point to zero )

Btw how can I save the options set in edizon ?
Exiting edizon with '+' -> 'B' does not work

ill have to give it a try but the code works fine it will cycle your inventory items and you can increase item amount.



i just dont know how to apply this if it was a pointer code and so far not able to find a moment where the code static doesnt work, but im sure when i first did these codes a year or so ago it would stop working.

im also going to redo my other codes as before with sxos i pretty much failed to find working pointers, now with edizon and the pointertools i (touch wood) having better luck at finding pointers.

so i aim to have working:

With the Inventory Slot Mod, if you cycle too far back which would equal no item, it will remove that slot and move items in slots 2+ into slot 1.

Not noticed this issue with the Chest Crate Slot Mod, so maybe this one will be better (I'll work on Open Chest Crate from Inventory code now, lost my notes so will have to do it again).

Ive also added a Reset To Knife incase you go too far, simply hit the reset button to goto value 1 rather than having to cycle all the way back again.

Ive added the cheat file named differently so it wont overwrite your existing file, simply open and copy/paste the cheats into your existing file.

Also I was pretty sure the addresses was dynamic and may not work later on, but I still can't figure how you would apply a pointer code to work the same way.

Need to find a better pointer for the Open Chest Crate from Inventory code, but it still seems to work fine with the Chest Crate Slot Mod and the Inventory Slot Mod codes still seem to work fine (maybe they don't need a pointer).

The value of HP when full is 100, you can search for this value and make cheats on sxos, use the memory editor to find other values near the HP . value. Experience in using Edizon is required.
