Insider report claims that Sony has delayed Horizon Forbidden West to 2022

sadasdasdas.png

Bloomberg has another insider report to share, and no, it's not about a Nintendo Switch Pro. According to reputable industry insider Jason Schrier, a huge PlayStation exclusive might not make the cut for release in 2021. Initially revealed last year during a showcase of upcoming PlayStation 5 games, Horizon Forbidden West was given a general 2021 release window. Although, later during May's State of Play live stream that exclusively focused on the game, there was no mention of any launch timeframe. Within the last week, a rumor began to pick up, saying that Sony was considering delaying Horizon Forbidden West, though no decision had been made. However, Bloomberg is stating that regardless of the rumor, Sony had already made the choice to delay the game into Q1 2022. For now, nothing has been officially confirmed, and Horizon Forbidden West is on track to release on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

Wouldn't it make more sense for them to spend more time polishing the Ps5 version being next Gen Sony will want it to look and play amazing.

Besides it also would be a good idea to release Ps5 version first to boost Ps5 console sales(assuming they fix the ps5 console shortages) and delay ps4 version to a later date to encourage migration to the new console.

Imo I don't think Sony would delay a Ps5 game coz of a delay in the last Gen port, especially given Mark Cerny's total distate for old Sony games and hardware.
It's not about boosting PS5 console sales. There is still high demand/low supply for PS5 regardless of this game being delayed. The reason why we are seeing a PS4 version for this game in the first place is because Sony can see there is still a lot of people on their PS4 than PS5.

Also, I would imagine the PS5 version is a lot easier to develop for as the system has better hardware, so it would make more sense for them to spend more time working on the PS4 version.

I think it would have been fine if she started out looking this way. Now, you just have some confusing lore to attend to, guess she got lazy and fat in the time since the first game. Seems counterintuitive to the character we played as in that first game.
I think it's kind of funny people trying to explain the changes from the previous game to the new one or trying to find a reason in the game lore for the change in face.

I imagine how for the people who played SpiderMan on the PS4 and went to SpiderMan Miles Morales on the same console with a totally different Peter.

In my opinion these changes are pretty normal in the gaming world, I even thought that people would be used to this point, I mean, even Fox Mcloud had glaring changes from their first game to the last and this coming from Nintendo, I would understand the complaint if it had changed for the worse, but come on... the changes are minimal, his skin became more realistic and she became chubby, is this really that bad?, to be honest i much prefer her new look than the one in the previous game.

Oh I absolutely think the change to Peter Parker in the Spider-Man video game was completely unwarranted, stupid, and ultimately for the worse. They tried to age him down to make him seem more like the current movie iteration of Peter Parker, but given where Peter is at in his life in the game, it doesn't make sense to make him look like a younger Peter, they had it right the first time, not to mention the voice no longer felt like it even belonged to the new body it was coming out of. I genuinely do not understand moves like that.

I could just shrug it off, sure, but when there is no good reason for it, and it only hurts the lore of the game, I can't support the move. I'm sure I'll enjoy the game all the same, but I hate that, it's like needlessly adding a glaring plot-hole for no good reason.

Also, I have no issue with character looking better as tech goes on, sure Fox looks way different than his SNES days, but that just feels like an evolution of the technology of the gaming systems he's appeared in over the years. It's not like he went from being an athletic looking character to a slob of a character between 2 titles without explanation.

this is nothing but a good thing, most people still don't have ps5s (ten million ten schmillion, i barely see anyone i know with one)
polishing up the game to be better for the future when the chip shortage isn't as much of a problem & more people have the console in their hands is a good thing.

Imagine getting mad that you can't jerk off while you play the game anymore, because you're upset about a slight change to a character.

Not to mention, almost everyone upset about her looking "fat", are the ones who struggle to get up from the couch and go to the bathroom while playing the games they complain about.

this.
It's like damn you guys, go get some pussy or something
Is her face being slighly chubbier really going to affect your enjoyment of the game? you're still going to call it a masterpiece anyways regardless of if she's 130 pounds or 280

The hater is that idjit Mark Cerny, Jim Ryan is ok.

Just check online to see the controversy Cerny brings about, he absolutely Hates Backwards Compatibility on Ps consoles, am sure he doesn't like that Ps5 has BC to Ps4.

Way to put words into other people's mouth. NOT ONE single person in this thread said they can't jerk off to a fiction character. And this doesn't affect the enjoyment of the game. For me, the problem with Aloy's new look is it makes no sense. I would rather see them keep Aloy the same look as the original and probably with a new outfit than what we are seeing now.

I guess no one is allow to have any opinions nowadays. Just need to consume. SMH.

Yeah, it looks like Old Jimmy hates BC. If I get the info I had on Cerny I'll link it, it may be a vid.

I think having the same character model across two different games would be boring for lots of people including me, coz it would be like the graphics and the game engine has stagnated and no new technical progress has been made.

Imo Guerrilla is trying to re-model Aloy to maybe bring a fresh new look but maybe the new model is not as cute as from Hzd

I wouldn't call her look cute in HZD, but more believable or as one of the guys here said, realistic. They could have change other things about her, such as hair, clothes, etc while keeping her model looking relatively the same. Like I said in one of my previous post, the sequel takes place six months after the first game.

Aloy's hair is her trade-mark, don't you dare utter such callus Blasphemy. Imo I think in HZD she is cute, not gorgeous just cute, and remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

This delay was already kinda confirmed a few weeks ago.

Considering Aloy's looks, yes, it looks like a downgrade.
She's a fit young woman that shouldn't have gotten fatter over time.
It makes no sense in lore, this is purely a consequence of the woke agenda.
I really don't understand how can anyone think her new face is better.

Nevertheless, what I care about is the gameplay.
We can all wait for the PC version to mod the character to something more palatable.

It's funny that people think it's about looks, when my only issue is consistency. As I've said, I'd have zero issue if she looked chubby from the start, but now she bizarrely gained a significant amount of weight, and if there is no story reason for it, then they just needlessly added a plot-hole and I really hate inconsistent lore especially when there is no reason for it.

I'm all for changing how a character looks in sequels, as long as the changes make sense. Link's hair has grown out in the BOTW sequel, that totally makes sense, not hard to follow that. This Horizon sequel is supposed to take place 6 months after the first game, and suddenly she's put on years of weight gain in the face, and given all the active shit she was constantly doing in her first game, I just can't fathom a solid logic as to how she got this way.

Yeah she does look fatter face wise, but I guess it's purely artistic and not story related, Guerilla's artists seem to have gone over-board trying to add textures to her face.

But you forget something though, in HZD before starting final mission when she goes to bed Aloy looks super-skinny BUT she appears to have a disproportionately Chubby face in contrast to her body.

I 100% disagree. I find the new Peter leaps and bound better than the stupid ass looking original. I couldn't stand the look of the original model.

That's just weird to me it's my biggest gripe with the remaster. Can you imagine if we were cool with that in movies? Actor didn't pull off the character well enough? Let's just digitally replace him with another actor for the George Lucas style special edition.

At least no actual person was done such an injustice since it's all video game graphics in the Spider-Man game and the voice actor wasn't replaced, but all the same it just feels so unnecessary and needlessly splinters the playerbase over nonsense.

I wouldn't mind if the Spider-Man remaster still gave us the option to use the original Peter and we could toggle between our personal preference, but forcing such a change on the player is kinda lame in my opinion.

I don't mind admitting I prefer the newer pixels. I also liked the new Spider-Man better, although it was definitely a bit jarring as a gamer.
