Insider report claims that Sony has delayed Horizon Forbidden West to 2022

sadasdasdas.png

Bloomberg has another insider report to share, and no, it's not about a Nintendo Switch Pro. According to reputable industry insider Jason Schrier, a huge PlayStation exclusive might not make the cut for release in 2021. Initially revealed last year during a showcase of upcoming PlayStation 5 games, Horizon Forbidden West was given a general 2021 release window. Although, later during May's State of Play live stream that exclusively focused on the game, there was no mention of any launch timeframe. Within the last week, a rumor began to pick up, saying that Sony was considering delaying Horizon Forbidden West, though no decision had been made. However, Bloomberg is stating that regardless of the rumor, Sony had already made the choice to delay the game into Q1 2022. For now, nothing has been officially confirmed, and Horizon Forbidden West is on track to release on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

While the report comes from Bloomberg, people should be aware that Schrier has a far more reliable track record, connections, and knowledge compared to "idk lol some analysts".
Noted for future leaks.

Her being chubby is less "normal". She doesn't sit on her ass all day, eating junk food. She's always out running, jumping, climbing, etc. It would be like making Link chubby, which would make no sense.
But if she's aged up, weight gain comes with age. Even if you're active.

it only doesn’t make sense when you don’t know why the character was modeled that way
Could have a health issue or a drinking problem or genetics and they write that into the story, Marvel did that to Fat Thor but all jokes a side will have to wait and see

You can't rush Perfection.

I say its better for a game to be delayed rather than rush to release a buggy broken game like Cyberpunk 2077, or Bethesda's perpetual Bug-Fest releases.

Guerrilla can take as much time as they need to make another epic like zero dawn.

Although this is less grand than a new Switch, Bloomberg has made quite a few false claims this year

there are quotes in here, I don’t feel like fixing this to include them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Fair enough, I do hope he’s being honest and source is reliable. I am always ok with a delayed game if it turns out good.’

I'll be shocked if there is an in-game explanation. There certainly could be, but I think this is something they just want us to accept without questioning.

Ah. I was under the impression Sony had an in-house studio for their exclusive titles.

Guerilla and Santa Monica are both in-house studios, Sony owns both studios. Same with Naughty-Dog of the Last of Us and UnCharted fame.

Guerrilla had only been making KillZone, a PlayStation exclusive on Ps2, Ps3, Ps4 and PSP, Horizon is their 1st/only non-killzone game. Likewise Santa Monica have been making God of War since the Ps2 and PsP Era.

It's not like the case of Gears of War which is made by Epic with Micro$oft paying a ton of cash to Epic to keep the exclusivity to Xbox. Around the time of Gears-3 an Epic ceo hinted at Gears3 coming to ps3 But a Gears creator contradicted that and said that's never going to happen coz of the amount of money micro$oft pays for the exclusive.

There is a ps3 version of Gears-3 though, it's making its rounds on-line, BUT you need a Dev version ps3 to play it, so maybe Epic Were planning cross-platform but M$ coughed up more ca$h. What I'd do to get a Dev-kit ps3 to play that...

Since no one here mentioned in this thread yet, the game director said this sequel takes place six months after the first game, and she is 19 years old. Therefore, anyone saying Aloy looking like how she is because of coming of age should be thrown out the door. I am more incline to believe she got stun by some futuristic bug which caused her face to look all chubby looking, and now is on a journey to hunt down said bug.

On topic: The game was originally meant for PS5. Most likely it is getting delayed because they are working/fixing the PS4 version.

Wouldn't it make more sense for them to spend more time polishing the Ps5 version being next Gen Sony will want it to look and play amazing.

Besides it also would be a good idea to release Ps5 version first to boost Ps5 console sales(assuming they fix the ps5 console shortages) and delay ps4 version to a later date to encourage migration to the new console.

Imo I don't think Sony would delay a Ps5 game coz of a delay in the last Gen port, especially given Mark Cerny's total distate for old Sony games and hardware.
