Then look on your PC if the Files are present.
If they are it's most likely a broken Micro SD Card Connector / Reader.

Hekate runs before the Switch Firmware...

libsys_lp0.bso is in the files. And so is libsys_minerva.bso.

How can I find out if it has to do with the sd card slot?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I tried booting into regular firmware, and it is giving me an error about the sd card I had emunand on. Does that mean there's a problem or is that normal for a partitioned sd card?

Inject the Hekate Payload if you face any 1-Bit Mode Error it's the Reader.

In Hekate go to Console Info -> micro SD and look for Errors

If you have access to the ipl File try to boot into Stock Mode.
Or Disable Auto RCM and burn your Fuses to boot into Stock Mode.

You don't need a working Card Reader for the Switch to run.

You're supposed to use the Spare SD for testing, since you don't know if the other is Corrupted.

I'm verifying the spare sd card right now (and it'll take a while) because it was weirdly slow to transfer files to it after I reformatted it to exfat.

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to test since I get that error. Am I supposed to try with or without an sd card? up to now it just loads me in the error screen and when I get back to the hekate options it's nothing like the regular ones.

Atmosphere & Hekate are less than 20 MB to Copy, how does it take long?

Way too long than it should :P It didn't do that when it was in fat32. Anyway verifying it.

So, back to the problem, I actually just tried another sd card that's smaller which should at least get detected and now my switch (in regular firmware) doesn't detect the sd card at all.

I'm starting to think the connectors were loose and maybe that's why I had trouble, and now they just disconnected totally?
I guess that means I'd have to operate my swtich.

Then you either operate your System without CFW & SD Card or you have to replace either the
Card Reader itself or you need to resolder a new 16 Pin FPC Connector.

That sounds like a lot of trouble.
I think I could start by checking if any of the connectors are loose, and reput them in (for the card reader).
I can think about the rest if that doesn't work.

If I need to make big replacements, I'll probably play without mods for now :/
I can open it up tomorow to see if anything's loose..

Just don't use any force when you click it in or you might break it completely.

And don't send it to Nintendo if you want to repair it, go to some local Phone Repair Shop
or you will get a patched Unit in return.

Ok. I'm not sure if there's any places around here that could fix it, but I could call around. Mention it's just for the sd card slot repairs.

I'll check the connectors tomorow like I mentioned. Time to take a break for now xD
(Ill still check a few things after my other card's verification is done)

There's one more thing I'm wondering, just to know in case it's not the hardware, but is it possible for something done with or on the emunand side that could affect both it and the system files in a way that system would have trouble reading or processing micro-sd cards? (including in booting hekate)

I can try replacing the card reader (in time), but before doing that I'd like to rule out the software side.

emuMMC should not have any effect on the ability for SD cards to be read.

I just wanted to update the thread to mention that fixing my sd card reader (replacing it, in this case) solved the problem emtirely. I haven't had any problems with it since making sure it was well connected, and have managed to get the mods I wanted working :)

Thanks all for the help too.
