I'll try that, thanks, including for the quick replies :)

Do you know much about cluster size or if quick format or regular is better?

32kb is default, you can use 64kb cluster if you have a larger card, but keep in mind larger cluster mean more space would be taken on your card for your files, but faster loading time, I personally use 32kb on the switch, on the 3DS I tested 200GB card with 32kb and 64kb, 64kb boot up faster than 32kb.

That's good info. I did 32kb right now. I do like the idea of it booting quicker if I put a lot of stuff/games on it tho.
If that would make a difference for the switch then I could try 64 instead, though I'm not sure how much space it takes.

Edit: Found a post saying 32 can be better, so I might as well stay with that :)

I would stick with 32kb, exFAT with 32kb cluster take up more space than NTFS with 4kb cluster when comparing amount space on drive even though you copy the same data to two seperate drives one on exFAT and one on exFAT, for the 3DS you see the benefit as it boot up faster due to the larger cluster but it take more space on the card. Not much benefit on the switch if you just leave your on sleep mode all the time when not in use and plugged in to the charger.

I did 32 on fat32. And yeah if it doesn't change much for switch then it's all good.

I'm just waiting for my jig now. If it doesn't get here today then I might use the paper clip method during the weekend. I'll see xD.
Edit: Just got my jig :D. Will mod tonight or during the weekend :)

Is it possible to the change the payload on SX Pro dongle?

I’ve made the switch from SXOS to Atmosphere. I currently use USB cable + TegraRCM to inject fusee-primary.bin

Just wondering if I can use the dongle from SX Pro,
Or must I buy new one?

Yes, you can convert the Hekate payload to a boot.dat to be used with the dongle. I recommend using Hekate so you don't have to convert fusee-primary every single time a new version is released. By using Hekate, you only have to convert it once, and you can use Hekate to chainload fusee-primary. You can also update Hekate on the SD card (without converting it), and the converted version will load the updated version.

Hi there,
I am running latest Atmosphere and Hekate versions on my Switch Lite with SX Lite (EmuMMC). When I try to update the firmware from 11.0 to 12.1.0 via AIO and install via Daybreak, I get an error saying "failed to apply update", even though Daybreak validated the update. The same happens when I manually download the FW files from darthsternie. Same happens with lower firmware versions too (e.g. 12.0).

Anyone know what's wrong?

hello everybody,e
so I updated my switch to 12.1.0 without any problem but now after the update, my game card reader is not working anymore. I've tried disabling nogc patch for both hekate and fusee but same result, the game card can't be read. Could someone please help me i'm really desperate to play botw again ;-;

You must either disable the nogc patch, or you must boot into OFW without Hekate one time. Either of these options will allow the game cartridge slot to be updated. If disabling nogc didn't work, then you probably disabled it incorrectly.

To be clear, are you using your sysMMC or an emuMMC? If you are switching between the two, you need to make sure they are on the same version. Otherwise, the gc slot will work on one but not the other.

Hi.
I've been going through the steps to mod my switch, using the latest files linked by the guide, but I'm getting an error when I try to boot hekate now, or try to launch the cfw when it does boot, it says this:

Failed to mound SD
Missing LP0 (sleep mode) lib!
Missing or old minerva lib!

Update bootloader folder!

Edit: I just took all the recommended homebrew zip and replaced and it works now.

Could it have been something to do with sigpatches?

I can't get Quark to run on my computer. Java gets errors. I'm not sure how to get it to work.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I got it to run with another version of Quark, but I got an error when trying to install an nsp:

'Unknown or undocumented error'
Module: ETickets (145)

First time i try to install an nsp. not sure what that means.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Also, I have a lot of XCI files. but goldleaf doesn't seem to install them?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Dang I'm getting an error with the switch itself, when I tried to put it to sleep. Not sure what to do:
"
Error Code: 2002-3502 (0x1b5c02)
Program: 0100000000000000031
Firmware: 12.1.0 (etc)

An error has occured.

Please press POWER Button to restart the console normally [...]

If the problem peresists, refer to the Nintendo Support Website.[+ site name]
"

And then it lists tons of stuff, 'General Purpose Registers', and tons of addresses.
It's the second time it did it when trying to put it to sleep.

Anyone know?

Edit: Sometimes it doesn't do the error.

I got this error again this time when trying to boot it up:

I'm also still trying to install xci files. I'm trying TinWoo plus ns-usbloader now and it's also not working to install files. Says failed to install pretty near the start of trynig.

I'm really not sure why the usb installs isn't working.

Try using ChoiDujourNX instead of Daybreak.

Well the first error not only tells you the problem but also the solution. As for your second issue, do you have the FS & Loader patches for launching backups?

I tried plenty of times to replace the bootloader files and it didn't work.
I don't know what FS is.

Nothing seems to work so I may try again with my other sd card instead. It's not booting in hekate correctly at all now.

If you've tried replacing the bootloader with no success, the problem may lie in your SD card as you eluded to. Also FS is short for File System which needs to be patched in order to install and launch .XCI files along with Loader patches.

I tried my other sd card, 128gb sandisk, and it's giving me the same error.
Is it possible the program i used to format to fat32 could've made it incompatible with the switch?

I'll ask about the File System stuff later when I can actually get this to work.

What program did you use? I've always recommended GUIFormat and have never had one user complain about it.

I'm just wondering something, but with the regular system, it says to only insert or remove the sd card when the system is turned off.

For the emunand, does that matter? And if it does, when can someone insert or remove it if they don't shut down their console?

Also, would it make a difference if I get the system update for sdxc cards? (to get it to work better for hekate and whatever else)

I just connected to wifi and applied 90DNS settings… but now every single game asks to update… even though I am updated to the latest version of all games.

I can still start the software, but I’m annoyed to go through that extra layer. Is there a way to fix this? I didn’t connect to wifi since hack was available since 2018, but I had to do it now to make MK11 work.
