Shin Megami Tensei IV Undub for English versions of the game.

This will replace the English voiceovers in the game with the original ones from Japanese version of the game.

Installation:
First, download the patch package from one of the links below which contain all the necessary files:

https://pastebin.com/itnMKR0i

After downloading the patch, extract the contents of the archive with the mod to a folder of your own choice, it's compressed in 7z format which can be unpacked using 7zip or WinRAR, though I recommend 7zip for best compatibility to avoid any potential issues.

Next you'll want to make sure you're using Luma or any other CFW with LayeredFS support.

Now simply copy the "luma" folder from this patch to the root of your 3DS' SD card and make sure you have Game Patching enabled in your LumaCFW settings.
This is made for USA version of the game, so if you're playing the EUR version you'll need to change the TitleID of the folder with the undubbed files from 00040000000E5C00 (the USA one) to 0004000000141C00 (the EUR one). Simply rename that folder inside luma/titles directory.

CHANGELOG:
1.1
- Updated release, bugfix for one of the cutscenes (Neutral Ending)
- Undub converted to LayeredFS format

1.0
- Full release, everything undubbed

0.9
- Initial release, cutscenes not undubbed

Basic rundown of what I did was the following:
Compile the Decoder/Converter for Moflex-to-Avi from here https://github.com/Gericom/MobiclipDecoder
Get Moflex files JPN version and convert them to Avi
Get Moflex files from ENG version and convert them to Avi
Use Moflex Encoder from Nintendo's CTR SDK and specify English Avi as video Source 1 and then specify JPN Avi as video Source 2 pointing to the encoder with Source 1 in the encoder set to "Video" only and Source 2 set to "Audio" only.
Make sure that the 3D Interleaved box is ticked on video source for your Avis and that they got converted properly (60FPS interleaved videos, so 30FPS left eye video and 30FPS right eye video) and that you select ADPCM compression for audio in the encoder. Video bitrate should be set to 2000 preferably which is as high as you can go since you're already re-encoding and thus losing a bit of quality and anything more than 2000 is just overkill.
The result was video footage from English version with audio from the Japanese one.

I had run into a problem with SMT4 Apocalypse english cutscenes where they weren't converting properly by the Converter from GitHub and a friend of mine modified the code for me a bit to make a version of the converter that did only video stream conversion and separate one that did only audio conversion. He also made another one that forced videos to convert at double framerate, as english videos were being converted incorrectly at 30 FPS (so 15FPS per left and right eye respectively) and thus playing at half speed. I then used Virtualdub to splice the video-only and audio-only outputs into a single Avi (it's important to set video and audio settings in Virtualdub to "Direct Stream Copy" otherwise it will re-encode and break them).
Generally a bit complicated as you can see, if you end up running into problems like me feel free to hit me with a PM and I will give you the modified variants of the converter but hopefuly that won't be necessary.
I can also post my Moflex Encoder monograph if you need it.

But hey at least I can say I pioneered this stuff.

Hi, I was wondering if this version is still online because I can't find the link on any page and I'm interested in this translation.

Hello,
I played throught the neutral path and at the ending one of the videos didn't play.
One with Megami thanking Flynn.
I just saw Masakado looming over Tokyo, then a few seconds of black screen, then the credits
Can somebody confirm this issue?
