When you update your firmware or CFW version, you also have to update your patches. You can find the latest patches in the pinned thread on this forum.
I have followed the tutorial installing the latest deepsea package and installed the latest sigpatches something is still not right as only some games will boot the majority won't including a new one . Again any help appreciated thanks Marc
Where did you download the patches from? Not all places have them fully updated.
Hi Guys .. i downloaded FE three houses & Blasphemous long time ago and played them then deleted .. currently i updated my tinfoil and redownloaded those 2 games but they won't open .. "Unable to start software, return to the home menu and try again" .. is there a solution for this ? bcz other games whether new or old they work fine
redownload from another source other than tinfoil, don't asks where to get games you can't asks that here.
Double-check that you're using the latest signature patches. Depending on when you downloaded your signature patches, some might have been omitted by mistake.

I was browsing the homebrew guide, and I didn't see it mention what format to use for the micro-sd card.
I saw some older posts mentioning ExFat becuase of big game sizes, but I don't know if it's still the case or if there's a better format now.
So which format would be good?

I guess windows doesn't want to format my card to fat32, it only has he option for exfat.
Is there a good program to do it with?
You're sure it's unpatched? (checked the serial num?)
You need the switch, a USB for it to connect to PC or android, or something else that can send the payload needed.
You also need a good micro-sd card that's ideally at least 64gb, but depending on what you want to do with it then more size is better
And finally it's good to buy a 'jig' that you need in order to put it into RCM mode, which you can buy online for around 5 to 8$ (alternatively it's possible to make a paper clip do it, but I'd recommend the safer route)
Also to be decent at getting info but especially to follow guides.

yes, i found couple of them.
1 is xaw4 which comes up as not patched in ismyswitchpatched
1 is xak1 which comes up as not patched in ismyswitchpatched but says warning in damota.me
It says converting to fat is a paid feature.
There should only be one serial number, or oh you mean you found a couple switches that are unpatched?
Yeah if the numbers after that are within the range of moddable then you should be good. Just need to follow the methods to mod.
It's good to know what you want to mod it for, too.
You don't have to pay, I used before, it format for free for me, just use the free version of minitool partition it does it job.
The new version doesn't let me, it wants me to upgrade it.
I could find another way to do it, but just to know, what makes exFat more difficult to work with?
