which is why I mention we need to really wait for the steamOS 3 to be released. as Steam2.0 is Debian but Valve is taking about 3.0 as almost as Complete rework. It should work but still we get own hand on it, I don't think it should be considered a "given".
It's still Arch Linux under the hood. I'm not saying it's a 'given', but it's pretty wild to think they're going to strip away features that are central to the functionality of the OS when they're marketing this thing as a computer.

I do hate every version of windows that came with any laptop I bought till this day, they always came standard with bloatware

You mean you hate the bloatware that is installed by every OEM and reseller on laptops and is no different from the bloatware installed by the same people on mobile phones. Nothing stops anyone from reinstalling with an S version or Enterprise.

People's preferences don't have to align with yours or mine, that doesn't rain on anyone's parade. Personally I'd rather not use store fronts at all and I'll be using it as a portable FF14/emulation device.

That's already been covered, it's anti cheat games that wont work for the most part without resulting in a ban. Wine is Wine.

*cue world's smallest violin*

Don't get why anyone would bother venting their Epic hate, the point is the machine isn't locked to one store like IOS devices and home consoles. So... woosh?
Sorry...i must've made myself less clear than I should.

That first question wasn't dishing out anything at the epic store but pointing out that people want a platform to game on. It's not much use to have epic store working if the games don't (I answered myself directly after posting that question. By only quoting the former, you're creating a context that I didn't imply).

And okay, my apologies : I inserted a laughing track under my post to parody the general behavior to the store. I don't mind them at all, personally (well... Aside their reluctance to properly support Linux. Lutris is still a hoop to jump through to HOPE your game might actually work after some tinkering).

I don't buy pre-assembled PCs so that's not a problem I encounter.

I have not used real windows in a personal setting in years. I have a Hackintosh which is dual booted with windows only for games.

I'd still like to know how not using "real Windows" but dual booting Windows on a Hackintosh for games isn't still using Windows.

I read somewhere that there's a Linux alternative installer for EGS (not officially supported). I'm betting that's true for some of the other storefronts that have been around longer too. What Linux game compatibility might look like on non-Steam storefronts though, I have no idea.

Lol cuz the only thing installed and used is steam and epic. Anything else is used

That's still running on Windows. Doesn't make sense to say you don't use it when you are still using it.

Lutris, was mentioned on first page.
