Classic 2 Magic (C2M) is an external plug & play accessory for the SNES Classic Mini that allows users to play any of their original SNES cartridges on their SNES Classic.

I have talked about the amazing C2M device in the past here on GBATEMP, and it is great accessory to easily play your original SNES Cartridges on your Official Nintendo SNES Mini Console, and now they have just announced an amazing new advanced feature that for sure all retro gamers will love, as now the C2M device is no longer limited to using it just with your SNES Mini from Nintendo, with the new C2M Reader files they released, you can upgrade your C2M to allow it to be used on Raspberry PI, Windows PC, basically any device that can handle USB can now see SNES Cartridges directly, imagine just slipping in your cartridge into your Arcade machine you built and playing it, or for true geeks, making a backup of your valuable cartridges! :)
For the true geeks the C2M team (which obviously are geeks as well) have developed some software that allows you to use C2M to run any SNES cartridge on basically any system that supports USB: PC Computer, Raspberry Pis, games consoles, etc.

We are not going to get into too much details now, as it will get most of you lost quickly, but if you know your stuff, you will love this. All files and instructions are included in the DOWNLOAD section of our site. If you are a techie, you will love this.

That's it for today. Oh, and one last thing: yes, we do have in plan for C2M for NES Classic, it is already in the works, and we are hoping for Nintendo to release a N64 Classic. We can't wait to dust off our Goldeneye cart!
So no longer are you limited to using the SNES Mini to play your original SNES cartridges, now all those that have built nice Raspberry PI Arcade setups, can just plug in SNES Cartridge and enjoy it right away, so check out the links below for more info! :)

Your link to their site doesn't work with HTTPS. It sends you to a test page instead.

Yeah I fixed it, made it just http - which works now. -- Also attached the PDF manual for the update which gives a bit more info, as I can't attach the full file. -- And I updated my post to make it a bit clearer what this new feature is.

Huh, that came as a complete surprise. I wasn't expecting addons for the SNES Classic. But you could likely do the same thing with a Retrode.

The addon has been out for a while now for SNES Mini. -- And now with this update, you can use the addon for other setups, like all those that have built Raspberry Pi machines some even inside a SNES Mini Look-Alike-Empty-Case.

I bought a similar device for my GB/C/A games, I think I'll just get GBA yoshi's island and this device will be useless to me...
i miss you buddy
The Retrode works with many different console cartridges using adapters, which this doesn't as far as I can see. So the Retrode seems like the better buy.

I own one to play games (my old carts at first but then i got tired of it and just got packs of games on usb thumb drive and now i have all from various systems for it). Playing N64 title on your snes mini is kind of weird but works smoothly. I know people will say i am just lazy as i could have just use a free solution but i did not want to bother and i work so i could afford it.
Anyway back to this, it sounds like a fun geeky experiment, I am sure some people will buy one just for the challenge.
For info, the unit I have, which i am sure did not change, matches the design of the SNES mini, and it is quite big (remember the cart is big), just for info..

I looked into it but couldn't find a Retrode around to be had. Honestly though, the last sytem I need to be able to dump is DS. I'm looking into buying a 2ds in the distant future so that I can dump some games without spending too much. All my other systems are covered.

GBA's yoshi's island is better than the snes version
and wats that supposed to mean?
Oh yeah, it's got extra levels doesn't it. I love the soundtrack to death.
