Hey, guys. I recreate a new installation of my SD because of 2-3 problems to start again on a fresh installation. I created an emmunand with AMS 0.19.5 and Firmware12.1.0. After creating the emmunand I went to daybreak to downgrade to Firmware 11.0.1 and then when I wanted to downgrade atmosphere to return to AMS 0.18.1 having deleted the atmosphere folders and seven of the SD to replace them with those of AMS 0.18.1 I later come across a yellow screen and I have no choice but to press 5 seconds on Power to turn off the switch.

Try without downgrading.

There is a 12.x.x version of checkpoint compile by SciresM, for homebrew doesn't work they need to be recompiled with libnx.

https://github.com/SciresM/Checkpoint/releases/tag/ams-19-compat
Thank you, but that's not all the reason. Instead of forcing me to come in 12.X.X you just don't know as I asked to help me solve the yellow screen problem simply because that's what I'm asking for no more and no less --'... I have enough with the 11.0.1 and I am happy with point.

The yellow screen is probably because of the downgrade, you are not suppose to go downgrading all over the place, 12.1.0 CFW work fine. If you want to stick with 11.0.1 then create an emunand from Sysnand 11.0.1 not 12.1.0 then downgrade. That how people fuck up their sysnand when they downgrade to a lower firmware.

So it's impossible to downgrade via daybreak? Yet I manage to do it and be in firmware 11.0.1 without problems via daybreak but the problem happens when I downgrade AMS and I have never had this problem until today however.

English please this is an English speaking site.

Not saying it is impossible but there are chance it won't work when you downgrade, you are just flashing an firmware not really downgrading, I believe that the user partitition is on 12.1.0 that why it won't boot to 11.0.1 for you, in general downgrading it only possible when restoring NAND backup from prior backup not flashing a firmware. I mean if someone flash a 1.0.0 firmware on a 12.1.0 NAND already then it won't boot.

So it would be an incompatibility between AMS 0.18.X and 0.19.X so that it does not work or it is AMS 0.19.X that still manages to cover the firmware 11.X hmm ...?

Well homebrew not working doesn't have to do with Atmosphere, they need to be recompile with libnx to work on 12.0.0 and above, that why SciresM recompile Checkpoint, you can use newer Atmosphere on lower firmware.

Yes. The problem is that it is not the firmware version that is the problem but the atmosphere version. I am in 12.1.0 AMS 0.19.5 then I do the downgrade via daybreak and so far everything is fine except that the homebrews compatible old version still do not launch in 11.0.1 AMS 0.19.5 because it is AMS 0.18.X that supports these older homebrews (not only Checkpoint but also ChoiDuJourNX, FTPD, Awoo Installer and its derivatives struggle in 12.X to update sigpatches, etc...). So that's why I go back to 11.0.1 and that I wanted to get back also otherwise it's useless to be in 11.0.1 AMS 0.18.1 to be in a stable version that I know because I do not know how to solve all these problems and that I have never used libnx except to do a test by discovering devkitPro and that I found it very complicated to use the program to recompile :/...

If you update your CFW files and doesn't update your homebrew obviously same reason, in the release log of newer version of Atmosphere it says some homebrew needs to be recompile, well you don't have to be on 0.19.5 if you are on 11.0.1, I know Awoo, FTPD should work fine on 12.1.0. Checkpoint was recompile by SciresM, and ChoidujourNX shouldn't be use anymore.

Most of the homebrew you mentioned have alternatives that work on higher firmware versions or updated versions that you didn't download.
