Hello everyone!
I'll start off by saying i'm a total novice when it comes to CFW, i barely managed to get the one on my switch to work and every update is a struggle to remember what to do and figure out what's going wrong lol. I hope this is the right section of the forum to ask this.
This is my current setup:

SD 128GB FAT
FW 12.1.0 | AMS M.19.5|E

Basically the games already on the system work fine (among these, a beloved ongoing playthrough of BOTW), but when i try to install new games i consistently get error messages. Since my SD is FAT, i have to install games via USB and that never works for larger games, i get a "usb connection lost" error message.
I thought maybe it was a firmware issue, and then something odd happened: I accidentally tunerd on the wifi while in CFW because I wanted to use AIO uploader, and got the pestering "you got an update pending" message. I took out the sd, put the files in a folder to use Choixdujour to update, then when I was back in CFW i accidentally pressed "install the update" in the box and so it just.. installed the update? Everything works perfectly fine, but I am still unable to install games.
I (think I) updated the sigpatches, first when i downloaded the new firmware to update the CFW, and then through Awoo installer: now when i inject atmosphere i get a black screen (in a kind of "windows console" style) saying the signatures are wrong, but I can otherwise access to atmosphere and play the games already installed on the SD.
Oh and additionally: Tinfoil NEVER worked, neither in the HBmenu, nor as a standalone app on the switch menu. *Sometimes* Lithium did, but now that one crashes the system and I can either reboot to payload or turn off the system.
I am kind of confused! I am honestly just wondering if I should just get a new SD (maybe a 256gb one) and start all over lol (I really don't want to lose my BOTW playthrough and I don't know if i can just do a backup of my save file?).
Anyone got any idea what the hell did i do? :D
Cheers and thank you!

"usb connection lost" sounds like a bad USB cable or bad connection/connector.

Hekate and Atmosphere have their own sigpatches in their own folders.
You can also install the sigpatches manually on your SD card.

Maybe switch to GoldLeaf.
That never let me down and can also install both over USB as well as directly from the SD card.

thank you for your answer!
After fiddling with it for a while i did manage to get both tinfoil and goldleaf to work again (cus i was having that issue as well, that's why i was using awoo installer), and fixed the sigpatches.
Now, while i can send the games to Awoo to install (and they fail to do so) via the uploader on my PC, i cannot do the same with Tinfoil nor Goldleaf. For Tinfoil, i reinstalled the driver needed in Zadig; for Goldleaf i can't even do that.
Do you by any chance know what i should do? I'm thinking of just formatting the sd and start over, even though i suspect that isnt the issue as the apps, singularly, work fine and they're now up to date

Have you tried using other USB cables and/or ports?
