Whereas most of N64 games are playable on retroarch, Animal crossing JAP patched to ENG is completly unplayable and terribly laggy
Is there any way to run this game better on switch?

Emulators perform better on Switchroot Android or Lakka. I like Android since you can use it for other stuff too like media playback/streaming.
