I wondered if this would belong in the Switch - Games & Content forum but, finding the answer might require some hacks.

Does anyone know if Layton's Mystery Journey (Deluxe Edition) for Switch has higher-quality music (sample rate and/or bitrate) than the 3DS or mobile versions? I haven't been able to find a Deluxe Edition music rip or the answer to that question, and I'd like to know if it'd be worthwhile to replace my 3DS-rip soundtrack.

I can check and post the exact specs of the 3DS music if anyone needs them to compare.

The Switch one is slightly higher quality but almost unnoticeable (48kHz vs 44.1kHz for the mobile version).
Another advantage for the Switch one is that it includes a full version of GIRLS albeit in Japanese :)

It has been ripped. search "Layton's Mystery Journey DX" on vgm hcs64

Ahh, thank you! I searched on hcs64 but didn't know about the vgm subdomain, so I didn't find it before.

There's always a chance it was a higher bitrate encode as well as having a higher KHz. I'll listen closely to the cymbals and snare, which were kind of borked on 3DS.

[Edit]
Yep, there's a very slight improvement over the mobile version, but I wouldn't have noticed if I didn't know what to listen for. At 192kbs It's definitely better than my 3DS rip (130kbs, 32.7KHz).
