Compatible with the Nintendo Switch, Windows PC, macOS, Android and Raspberry Pi, this new controller can store 3 custom profiles on-board which can be changed on-the-fly with a dedicated button. There is also a new 4-way Mode Switch button that lets you instantly switch between multiple platforms. This looks only marginally better than the one I bought last August. I really like my SN30Pro+, but after three months the A-button was sticking. Customer service eventually (after 2 and a half months) sent me replacement parts (the rubber connectors under the buttons, which tore) and I replaced it, but the buttons still feel cheap and will probably stick again.

Also, their ultimate software bricks the controller when you update firmware and you have to use a special tool to fix it. I thought it was just me, but internet forums are riddled with threads just like this. There is also no documentation that comes with a controller that, while extensible, very much needs the documentation. In addition, it takes MONTHS to get replacement parts in the mail? User-friendly this company is not. Also, these controllers are only 10$ cheaper than a Switch Pro Controller which is also great on a Switch and PC with either BetterJoyForCemu or DS4Windows.

I can't recommend anything 8bitdo, as my only experience with them indicates that they are not a quality company.

Amazing D-Pad though - I mean, good lord! (Hope that doesn't break.)

My SF30 Pro is holding up well, though my SN30 Pro+ has a sticky B-button now. Still better than the Switch Pro, since 8bitdo has aligned analog sticks, which I honestly much prefer over unaligned.
...The Wii Classic Controller, along with the Wii U GamePad and Pro Controller, all had aligned sticks; why'd Nintendo ruin the Switch Pro?

Sounds like I lucked out by skipping the Pro+, my SF30Pro is still working perfectly. I went ahead and pre-ordered a Pro 2 though so I can see how comfortable/weighty it is compared to SPC and DualSense. Having a couple extra remappable buttons is always nice too. As long as no buttons decide to stick, it might very well end up being my primary PC/Switch controller.

Could just be the Pro+, no problems with buttons on my Pro yet either. Honesty if there was some kind of grip attachment for them I'd probably be happy with that.

I wanted a controller for 2d games and ordered a Pro2 since it works on so many systems. I’ve only used it a little, but so far, so good. I had no problems updating the firmware with their app and the sticks and triggers are all working properly and the dead zone settings work as expected.

The d-pad seems solid, and probably one of the best I’ve used recently. Not getting any false inputs, but sometimes hitting a diagonal is harder than I’d like. Much better than the opposite and maybe it will break in a little. Real SNES controllers are better, but it’s close.

I don’t like the layout for dual analog, but I’ve never had a PlayStation and I didn’t get it for 3D games. The grips are comfortable and the texture is nice.

If it does hold up over time, I think it’s a good value at $50. Happy with it so far.

The pro 2 membranes works on snes controller, the opposite is also true.

Broken super famicom controllers are cheap and a great source of membranes

I think for my use the d-pad as is is good enough, but I was considering replacing the buttons to match the originals. Good to know the membranes are swappable.

i still can't get this fucking controller. i regret not pre-ordering it

If you don’t need the back paddles, I’ve seen the pro+ for $42-$43 recently on Amazon. I think I got lucky. I missed the pre-order but they were selling a second batch I got in on (still had to wait).
