Undervolting depends, when I undervolted on stock clock's I had lower performance than on stock voltage. Even lowering the voltage by just 20mv gave me a slight speed decrease, besides, the CPU is not "the hot part" of the board, the GPU is and I don't think we can undervolt that for now.
Figured that'd be the case, each console runs at "personalized" voltages based on a value burnt into fuses during manufacturing, same would be the case if you were to mess with the GPU.

is there still any tutorial? my ram memory is samsung.
download files from this thread (the recent ones from mattyxarope and myself), unpack, read the README.md (in html form from my attachment or from the jpg file or from the sources) and follow the instructions from the 'Method A: AIO Package'.

This should be enough for you to get ATM 0.19.3 + HOS 12.0.2 overclocked. If it isn't then you're too inexperienced and in this case you really should stop immediately.

EDIT: ... or you can follow ZachyCatGames, who posted a few seconds before me :)

I get stuck in patch tools :(. I take the risks, I made the necessary backups.

I really wouldn't recommend that method, it's more complicated, has a higher chance of causing problems, makes your system unbootable without sigpatches, and is harder to reverse, while providing basically no benefit.

Edit: also, that guide won't work on Erista for ram.
Edit2: ig it sorta does actually, Minerva shit is in the "details" part, but not the "installation" part for... some reason...?

I don't have knowledge and tools to compile something, but wanted to test ram overclocking.

Correct me if I'm wrong: the problem with Erista's OC is the power draw, and not the temperature.
So if I use something like 1581/768/1600 (docked, for example) I'll reduce battery life but not the other hardware.
Am I right? Thank's!

Those numbers look a little aggressive but I could be wrong.

Gentlemen, just for clarification purposes, when you say RAM, is that what sys-clk calls MEM?

No, the power draw from high clocks/voltage can affect the internals, the motherboard etc.
Battery is not a concern unless you are drawing so much power that the battery is discharging in docked mode (and heat might be a concern too).
I am not sure what the "max safe" clockrate for CPU/GPU is.

Yes, memory speed.

Do you think my switch is ready 4 OC?:)
IMG_20210726_161658.jpg
(SOC/memories metal cover removed and thrown in the garbage, thick thermal pads removed from a GPU used on the memories and more thermal paste on top which is pointless but I have so much to waste).
IMG_20210726_235629.jpg
(Cut a square in the backplate and put a full copper small memory cooler on top of the SOC copper pipe from the cooler).

And the perfect amount of thermal paste (squeeze as much as you can:toot:).

Don't worry, the SOC I put just a very thin perfect layer all over the silicon.

All the blue stuff is the new MX-5 which is pretty good and the bottom of the motherboard and the rest of the less important components took the gray MX-4.

Ps: this is what happens when you have 20gr of MX-4 and 20gr of MX-5 and nowhere to useB-):gun:

Other factors like now the fan spins low on the Witcher 3 compared to stock (joking) :).

But yeah, I know there's always other factors.

Anyway at least in terms of battery I'm sure will make some difference though I haven't tested as I only used it after always portable plugged to the charger.

Temps are probably similar to stock since the fan also spins less and as soon as I press home button from a game the fan starts to spin down almost immediately (off course I have to put my ears on the cooler to hear it).

The downside is the back is hotter but can't say the difference as I didn't use my switch for more than a year and only played now after improving the cooling...

Lower fan speed with same temps is what usually happens, yeah. Dunno what impact that’d have on battery life (I never measured before switching my paste, too lazy lol).
With OC the main thing you want to be careful with is power consumption, if the battery starts draining significantly on an official charger probably tone it down ;p

I wonder what's the max discharge rate the battery can handle... There's a way to find out but I'd rather not:).

Anyway we can always go for a more explosive battery with higher capacity and much higher discharge rate, Li-Po, however when it goes bad it really goes pretty bad:grog:
