Hacking Question SXOS + EMUnand 11 + Choixdujour > Atmosphere ? the right way ?

Hi everyone,

As I'm going to jump to Atmosphere from SXOX I've got some questions I hope some of you will answer/
Actually, my SYSnand is 5.0.0, my EMUnand is 11.0.0. I updated from EMUnand 10.2.0 to 11.0.0 with Choixdujour and actually my EMUnand words great but with the limitations of 11.0.0 firmware.

Question 1 :
As I updated it with Choixdujour, Is it ok to install Astmophere the usual way ? I have read somewhere that Choixdujour breaks BOOT0 and BOOT1 ? So maybe there is something for me to do ?

Question 2 :
I have read too that the cartridge port is updated with the last firmware 12.0.0. So once Atmosphere installed, can I update my EMUnand to 12.0.0 and keep my SYSnand as it is right now (5.0.0); I mean will my cartridge port will still work in SYSnand ?

You can keep Sxos, and patch games:updates, if you want atmosphere, create a new EmuMMC that will be “updated “.
My sysnand is from “origin “.. (4.01) and since I got my switch I only deal with EmuMMC/emunand .. on both AMS and Sxos.
I am quite “fed up “, with some threads saying forget about Sxos, and jump to AMS. Being user of both since the very beginning, and both have pros and cons, and both can be used “together “.

Same here, some parrots need to learn to keep quiet. At the end of the day it doesn't matter which method you use, you're still playing games you didn't pay for. InB4 'homebrew'.

This is related to Mariko units only. If you will use Choi on Mariko, for 100% now you will have corrupted boot0 (because it will install Erista's boot0 to Mariko). SX OS is using hacks to avoid that, but Atmosphere don't want to use any sort of those, so you will be welcomed with error.

Just look up custom sxos and u will be able to use atmosphere and sxos at the same time and still have u SYSnand at 5.0.0 . You just need to make emuMMC with hekate and update to latest ofw then u will get best of both cfw's so u can have sxos on 11.0.0 and atmosphere on latest firmware and don't delete emunand

Well.., that’s a sort of “short cut”. Hekate is far from the “best way” of creating 2 EmuMMC, on the same sd card, AMS and Sxos without “messing “, so better to do it with other tools.

Because users want simple solutions. Using both is completely possible but not everyone's cup of tea. Not to mention that SX OS is 99% likely not being updated anymore so the main draw of .XCI loading will eventually fade away once games require firmware versions higher than SX OS supports.

I perfectly understand, but the fact is that “older games “ run on Sxos, and Xcis mounting from external hdd is only possible with Sxos (very useful at least for me with my children…).
