I have been messing with my switch for the past couple days and have it set up how I want but I have one stupid question......

How the heck do I make it so when i push the power button to turn my switch on it goes straight to hekate? As of now it just stays on a black screen and I have to hook it back up to my computer and push the payload again to get to hekate. Im sure this has been asked a million times so I apologize. Thanks guys/gals!

You need to push the payload everytime you have turned off the console, so as i see it, trinket board install is the only way for you if you want it as you write

If you're using Atmosphere, replace reboot_payload.bin with the Hekate bin file. Then, if you reboot to payload from the homebrew launcher, or you reboot from the power menu, you will go straight to Hekate.

The system should never be completely powered off, particularly if you have AutoRCM installed.

There is no need to power off the console unless you are not planning to use it for a while (in order to prevent the battery draining and save it from unnecessary wear and tear)
Also, with reboot to payload enabled in the Atmosphere config, the console will boot into Atmosphere (or Hekate if you have replaced atmosphere\reboot_payload.bin) again automatically upon reboot, so the only time you should need to inject the payload again is when you are in OFW and you want to boot into CFW.

That said, I recommend getting a RCMloader dongle as it just makes injecting so much simpler, just keep the dongle in your pouch, as it's tiny, and it only takes a few seconds to inject anywhere you are, no need for a PC.

That's the one, but that price is asinine. eBay has them for around $17 and they are $15 on AliExpress (both from China). Edit: Adding it to my cart the price changes to $31 which is slightly less ridiculous. That seller has a lot of bad feedback and judging by some of the feedback they may ship it from China in which case you'd be better off saving yourself $15 and getting it from eBay or AliExpress instead.
