It turned out that it was necessary to start with the R button held down so that everything was established normally, and not from the menu. Why is such an important detail not listed in the instructions?

I thought it was listed? Even then, I figured people would read the official manual before installing this.

Is there any way to bot directly into the latest used rom? There is an open source kernel that does that and a few other options, and it's open source, if you want to take a look. Sadly it doesn't have your theme or firmware 8, maybe I should try to update it if the dev abandons it.
veikkos/omega-kernel: EZ-FLASH OMEGA Kernel (github.com)

There is not in this kernel, but if you have the know-how you can add it yourself.
I'm not gonna add it until I can get permission from Veikkos to copy that.
If there's one regret I have, it was not asking before I merged features from his kernel into mine.
I haven't heard from him in a while, so I dunno where I can ask him.

I made a modified version of this that autoboots the first game stored in NOR on boot by default. To get to the menu hold L while booting. I made this for my kid as I wanted a simple solution for him (Just turn it on and play).

I tried to add my fork of the source but this is my first post and cannot add hyperlinks :(

Hopefully this is ok with the author. Thanks Sterophonick!

Edit: This is for regular EZflash Omega and uses the Dark theme.

I'm trying to install the version for the EZ-Flash Omega Definitive Edition, but when I boot up holding down the R button nothing happens.

Does the R trigger work in games?

It works once I get into the EZ-Flash software to change menus so I don't believe I have a bad trigger.

Yes, I am holding it all the way until the EZ-Flash logo, the update still does not trigger. I'm on firmware 3.0 which seems to be the newest official DE firmware.

I was able to successfully install the firmware on my Omega DE but now I have this "SAVER Error" that prevents me from loading any ROMs, even after I reformatted my SD card.

Does this still occur after reformatting? Make sure you have the SYSTEM file structure set back up.

Did anyone else experience error of some roms not beeing displayed on the folder when opened on the gba? I find that some of my roms of pce, sms, gg, msx, ngp. If anyone has a solution, i really appreciate! Some of my roms work and I got them all from the same source so I was wondering if that is a common error. btw I'm using Simple v.3.44, K: 1.08 on a Ez flash omega on a gba sp

Make sure your SD card is formatted as FAT32.
Windows won't allow you to do that for cards larger than 32GB, this tool is needed for that.
