Translation [Recruiting] Front Mission 2089: Border of Madness English Translation

Hello everyone!

I started working on a English fan translation of Front Mission 2089: Border of Madness for Nintendo DS :nds:

. The reason behind this and why? probably due to one of my Test Gameplay video in a decades ago, got more views, questionable comments, and even got more featured on a Google search too.

So far I've completed on editing all Weapon/Shoulder/Parts/Backpack/CPU/Item names (including leftovers) and properly match from Front Mission 1st US counterpart (top-screen only). Some others like strings on upper-screen now closely resembling to the 1st but not many, because most strings in caps may not being able to displayed correctly during in the gameplay.

Finally, If anyone interested, looking for additional romhackers and translators willing able to help me out would be greatly appreciated. :grog:

Front Mission 1st on the DS has a beautifully snappy UI and incredibly addicting customization of wanzers. Even a bit of fashion-bots in there if you want to make all your team members have their own style. What a great game. 2089 looks like a continuation and upgrade of these strong points, so I always wanted to play an english version if it! Thanks for your work.

I realize the OP has only posted once but man I hope he is still working. I am a huge fan of Front Mission 1st for the DS. I tried 3, but it didn't click with me the same way that the SNES look does.

Sorry to hear that but still I don't have any luck to get some additional hacking & translation interest help yet plus irl issues. To make thing worse unable continuing much further: not affording my single PC/Laptop atm, the stuck having smartphone only is total pain as goes with hacking concerns. Rest assured, if anyone interested, let me know through Discord server code on the OP.

Hi, there! Would love to help out however I can; I have fond memories of playing the first Front Mission on DS, and I would love to be able to experience the sequel in English as well. I'm afraid I'm not well-versed in Japanese, although as a software developer I can probably find some way to help out with the hacking.
