that's probably why I'll quit the ps4 scene when this new mira comes out. there's no real place for me in a scene like that.

mira is what's supposed to make backports obsolete. once that was announced, I gave up on doing any backport related research. the ease of things is also why I won't be writing anymore tutorials. they'll just become obsolete, so why bother?

ahhh but i am using that system which don't have mira but the games can be played??? even for 5.05 i thought need to backport. wait u have a tutorial channel??

no tutorial channel. they're just written tutorials. you supposedly won't need backports, but the problem I see is that this isn't even possible on the ps3. save flags for one are not the same for every game.

simply resigning is not enough in a lot of cases, or else those backport apps would always work.

and apparently, the game control wouldn't work due to memory leaks, so someone had to use IDA to fix it.

yup,.wait so your meaning is that mira make it easier for people in installing the game n the updates will do and don't need any sort of backporting of the games??

maybe that's why some certain games crash or can't work due to that memory leaks??

that I don't know. I just have my doubts, because there's more to it than just resigning. that's why the backport apps don't always work. you have to use IDA or ghidra with stuff dedicated to the system. I forgot the name of it, but there's one for the ps4. it's in the backporting tutorial on psxhax, I believe, the name of it that is.

like the modded warfare one backport 6.72 > 5.05 and even a patch i try to do but also failed ( this is where i trying to use other software which is so so easy but failed.)

but i couldn't find any of 7.XX > 5.05 backport though.

before I started researching backports, Joonie told me one of the main reasons a lot of those backporting apps fail is due to them missing things that are not in the script files or possibly ignoring things that are. memory leaks is one of them.

ahh that means someone is meddling the original codes in the game itself to begin with it but why?? is it not to twit the system of it??

balika's loader?? what's that ?

it's something you load into IDA or ghidra. it will read elf files (not fself), so first you must unself the files or transfer them as the game is running.

I don't want to talk about this anymore though, because I already put one person on my ignore list due to backports and the new mira. it's just my opinion, so I don't know if it will actually work with all games. I'm just saying nothing like this even exists for the ps3, and that system has been hacked up the ass.

yup n ps3 are better in a way whereby all games are worked though without any sorts of backport or stuff just install the game and is good to go.

thanks. it's just that I spend so much time trying to figure out this stuff for people only for something to make it super easy materialize, thus making my time wasted. I don't like that, and it always happens. I don't hack or exploit my systems for me or to play games or anything like that. I do it for other people. and, I have grown quite bitter with the playstation scenes (especially the ps3 one), because I wasn't treated with respect and treated like my time mattered. I was trying to figure out the system, but all 95% of people cared about was free games.

Are so very well said and like people do want it for themselves without saying thank you and also argue or do anything about it.. such a spoonfed which is bad and a waste of time n even mind.. that's sad though and also in other matter not in the it industry i do receive that kinda treatment... and i named them babies. but sometimes also other people in the IT world understand it much better but when i see those like input or so sometimes is ok for me n sometimes not..

indeed. a lot of people do nothing to contribute. because of how the ps3 scene is, I quit psx place recently. I'll be back for one final post, because there's something I have to do around the 1st of August.
