So I modded my brother's switch then he decided he didn't want to play the games anymore and wants to play his cartridge fifa 21, so I used Heckate and booted him back on Official SYSNAND (without atmosphere usage and downloaded game play) and he still got the ban hammer by Nintendo on his switch console, is there a way to avoid this? How did they even know?

just because you uninstall CFW doesn't mean there isn't traces in the logs.. The best way is to make a backup before CFW and restore that when you wanna go back to Vanilla. This way there isn't much they can see. Also I don't know if they can check your SD card, I don't think so but yeah..

I have his Nand originally saved but I never restored because I didn't think theyd be sneaking into his files playing fifa online. If you install pirated games it will tell nintendo the next time you connect to their servers even if you uninstall them, the only way around it is restoring a clean NAND.

I agree, i had no idea how to use Emu Nand until recently so Im doing it for my own switch. He be better off using that switch for offline games then, I may just let him borrow my one for his fifa game or he can sell it and buy a new one. How much do ye reckon a banned switch is fetch for? just asking.

Facts, if you can find a non-banned borked switch you could just dump that and import it to get unbanned.
there's still currently no way to inject a new certificate? I know very little about the switch exploits, so that's why I'm asking.
No, they were saying buy a switch with some fault and swap your motherboard/gamecard slot into a better condition switch and use that
you can get a brick switch booting again but still can't go online with fake proinfo

An unpatched console is actually worth more than any patched console, even if its unbanned because hacking is considered more valuable than online access.
Sometimes bans are delayed slightly, or are just waiting for you to suddenly pop up on their severs cause you got flagged somehow.
There is a chance he was banned for a while before this situation, but it was only noticed by you peeps the second he tried to go online.
