Hacking Need a skinny on how to best use memory card and SD2Vita

Hello.

Does anyone have a easy to follow skinny tldr of steps on how to best make use of both memory cards on a 1000 Vita?
I'd be mostly interested in having my Vita games on my SD2Vita and PSP/PSX/Retroarch stuff on the ridiculously expensive Sony proprietary crap card.

I love you all.

I have this installed already, sorry for not making it clear. I just have 4GB memory card waiting to be used... And don't know how.

But, considering you were my first here, you have my heart. PS Vita community is best.

@eyeliner ,you should buy a 256gb or 512gb miscrosd and use it for sd2vita,because if you want to put the Playstation, PSP and RetroArch games on the official 4gb memory card, there are few of them and you run out of space soon.

I plan to do that, but how can I point Adrenaline towards the memory card and not sd2vita? And RetroArch?

@eyeliner ,after doing the hack you have to set MCD(Sony official memory card),as ux0(internal memory)if you want to install Adrenaline on the Sony Memory Card and use Autoplugin2 and configure

You just have to set ux0 where the MCD entry is.

And what about sd2vita? Because as it is, Vitashell shows it as ux0.

The last time I messed around there, I managed to bork Adrenaline so bad it was a pain to reinstall.

I think that my memory card is setup as ur0, or something. But I'll try what you posted and hope for the best.

@eyeliner ,well i don't understand but one thing ur0 is 2.55gb and uma0 is 3.73gb,what is the internal memory and which is the Sony memory card?

While ux0 is sd2vita with 29.73gb.

@eyeliner ,figured I'm here to help everyone if possible in the forum. However if you want to use the Sony memory card to install Adrenaline for PS & PSP and RetroArch games you have to set MCD(in Autoplugin2)as live area, but i don't recommend it because you put a couple of PS & PSP games and RetroArch in it you fill it in a short time.
Instead,i advise you to use Sd2vita(possibly with a minimum 128gb microsd)as live area and UMA as internal memory,so you will not have space problems for games.
For a correct installation of Adrenalene you must install the vpk via Vitashell and be connected to the internet it will do everything automatically.

Thanks, but I don't plan on having that many roms, 8 and 16 bit systems, with all USA roms should fit nicely in 4gb with space to spare.

But yes, adding PSP and PSX, even if a couple, wouldn't be enough.

Better leave it then?

@eyeliner ,depends on what PS and PSP games you want to install,some PSP games even exceed 1gb in size,with a 4gb Sony you put a couple of PS and PSP games in it then you run out of space,so i suggested you use sd2vita as storage for games,you would not have space problems even because RetroArch weighs over 200MB, insert the roms for the various emulator(i don't know which one you want to use),i don't know how much space you will have left.
If I may i wanted to ask you what did you use to insert the screenshots?
They are smaller than mine.

Yeah, I guess I'll leave it at that. Or maybe I'll try to setup a rom folder for Retroarch in the memory card to see how it goes. Like a few genesis roms, and point Retroarch there. I think this should be enough.

The screenshots are standard, I just inserted them as thumbnails, and if you click on them, they should pop up with default size. I think...

Because the only way i have to upload screenshots is via imgur.

You have the option to attach pictures when you post a comment. There's a "Upload a File" button right below the input area.
