Yes I have that problem too for Mario Kart. I am not up to date, nightly RA 1.9.3. I tried pretty much all options but nothing helped.
Yeah I haven't been able to fix it at the moment.
Not sure if what FanNintendo says about changing to Cached interpreter fixes that specific issue or not, I have yet to try out.

Activate "Less accurate blending mode" on mupen64 core options. This fixes Mario Kart 64 but could potentially break other games.
We can have that option enabled and create a per-game config for Mario Kart 64. Should make that config load up only for that game, while the others use the default core configuration

I havent tried any emulators on the switch. Where can I get a start on this? Are there tutorials on what systems are covered? Pretty much thinking of just playing some classic jrpgs, and not sure which systems can handle 100% speed.

Well, you asked for a lot of stuff to explain. If you could just specify what consoles were you interested in, that would be a lot easier to cover. In short, HOS RA can emulate very well everything up to DC excluding Saturn(for DS you'll need to use standalone emu cause its a lot better than RA core). That said, very well doesn't mean that you won't run into some troublesome games here and there, but that does mean fullspeed emulation. Generally lakka RA performs better and it has better Saturn performance and Dolphin for GC which runs surprisingly well. But again, your question is vague, each system emulation has its own quirks.

Does Retroarch constantly crash for anyone else when reattaching joycons? Very annoying seen as my joycons deattach on their own.

Hey guys, what are the best settings to run tekken 3 at full speed?
Is it safe to run retroarch with the maximum performance overclock?

so 2 things
1. why does everybody act like the mupen64 next plus core is so good when it runs much worse than my much weaker Kindle Fire HD 8? like Paper Mario plays perfectly on it but is a stuttering mess on switch.
2. why doesn't the PCSX ReARMed core have its "Enhanced Resolution" setting? games are just way too pixelated without that

Mupen64 next runs very well on switch. If 1 game runs better on your tablet, it doesn't mean that "n64 is a stuttering mess" on switch, the majority of tiles run fullspeed without any problems. Use OC and experiment with settings. And if you think that your Fire HD performs better than switch, then just play your n64 titles there. If you want increased res with psx titles, use lakka with Duckstation. I personally see no problems playing psx with native res.
