Favorite forwarder no longer working?

App Updated? Pick up a 3TB Drive? Here is a set of pre-compiled dol's using Fix94's v14 source. (Thanks buddeh!). I have tested all of these, and confirmed them working, there are currently 56 dol's included. You'll need CustomizeMii to replace the current .dol file. Please see the notes below.

Notes:
The forwarding path for each .dol included will be in the foldername of the download... each folder is named something like "wii64 boot", in which case "wii64" is the forwarding path, and so on.

I've always compiled my forwarders with Waninko base first, and if it doesn't work, i try the Comex base. So as it stands, they are all tested working with Waninko Build except as noted.
For (v)wii, a build with Waninko is required, and comex will fail. Unfortunately, it means the forwarders that REQUIRE a comex build (listed below) will NOT be able to be used in (v)wii mode, but on the bright side, all the others (built with waninko) are universal between wii and (v)wii!

Forwarders that REQUIRE build with Comex (Wouldn't return to System Menu with Waninko):
Note that these will not work with (v)wii unless patched wii Fix94's method!

The following were tested NOT WORKING and NOT INCLUDED, but just so you know i tried 'em :)

Forwarders that Code Dump on Exit with Waninko or Comex:

dmp
ftpii
hatari
openBOR
uloader
wiiengine

Forwarders that only returned to HBC with Waninko or Comex:

BlueDump

Additional Notes:

The app "WiiEarth" has just recently been updated, and i haven't gotten to test it since, so that may be working with waninko, i don't know yet!

Sorry for bumping such an old thread. But the latest of FIX94's forwarder dol's that I heard about was v12, and I have a few questions that I'm hoping someone\anyone can answer.

First, is this an extension of FIX94's v12 forwarder dol? his v12 only had one "base" whereas your download includes 2 bases, a Wanin base and Comex base, so I'm not sure if these are truly an update to FIX94's forwarder because of this difference. I'd just like to know a bit more about each type of base if anyone at all knows.

Is there a changelog or source for this update? I'm guessing the main improvement over v12 is support for 3+TB HDD's, as you referenced this in your original post and I'm pretty certain it wasn't in v12.

Also, you mention some dol's can be 'patched using Fix94's method!'... any more info on this 'method' would be very much appreciated!

TLDR: Anyone know where I can find info on FIX94's latest forwarder dol? Is v12 the latest, or v14 (this?), or something else? I'd love to see a changelog and source or description of the different bases or "Fix94's dol patching method". Thanks!

edit:
correction, support for 3TB+ HDD's was added in v12, below are a list of the features included in FIX94's v12, not sure what was added since:

Features of FIX94's v12 forwarder:
-FAT32, NTFS, ext2, ext3 and ext4 partition support
-IOS58 required (for USB 2.0 speeds)
-Can load from USB and SD
-Can load dol, dollz and elf files
-meta.xml arguments support, including ahbprot permissions if injected into an appropriate base WAD
-supports 3TB+ HDD

Quick reply, I'm at work... It looks like the original page where i downloaded the source no longer exists. I also can't find a change log for v14. I do however have the v14 source, so maybe that will help?

Hi, sorry for necrobumping this thread but i'm making some SRLs for WiiSXRX and Wii64, which I already know that uses AHBPROT functionality/permissions for ensure a correct functionality and emulation of the PS1/N64 games.

I am using @XFlak's ModMii tool for make a forwarder DOL file which can read the meta.xml files, and I saw that the forwarder DOLs made with that ModMii are compatible with AHBPROT if injected into the correct base WAD which support AHBPROT.

But i can't find an AHBPROT enabled base wad anywhere, and the links given in old threads are now broken down.

@XFlak and others, can you reupload the Static Base WAD with AHBPROT enabled please?

Thanks!! :D

This one works too (it's actually my latest version of the same channel you used, just with a different dol)

Hey @XFlak i have a question... Since I'm interested in also making emulator forwarders for the vWii mode of Wii U, is there any base WAD for dols for homebrew emus/loaders/apps for vWii which is compatible with AHBPROT (for vWii obviously)?

I mean, is there a vWii forwarder WAD which is compatible with AHBPROT?

Thanks :)

Iirc you just need to confirm and/or adjust the title ID, you can't use certain id's that may work on wii, but other id's could work on both without any adjustments
what do you mean about that? sorry I don't know much about the Wii U but I learn quickly ;)
Are you saying about change the WAD ID of the AHBPROT base wad?

But i'm still in doubt because i don't think that when I convert a Wii base WAD which is AHBPROT enabled to a vWii forwarder with JoostinOnline's Convert2vWii (based in FIX94's Tiny vWii NAND loader). If I convert a AHBPROT enabled base WAD from Wii to vWii, is still keeping AHBPROT support or is this removed on the vWii?

Best regards

EDIT: Can I use these "AHBPROT-enabled" base WAD of USB Loader GX for vWii?

You know the 4 letter title ID of the channel

I found the tool I used awhile back, unfortunately looks like links are dead though, I'm not sure if I can find this somewhere, I'll check around. But basically the same could be done by manually changing the title ID, I just don't remember the restrictions that don't work on vWii..
.. actually I think all id's work, but some id's force 4:3 aspect ratio

@XFlak I've found the tool in the Wayback Machine, and I reuploaded it for you.
Here it is: https://gbatemp.net/download/title-id-changer.37199/

Yes

And here's a working link (for now), Batch file re-uploaded as well

Edit1:
Lol, we both had the same idea

Edit2:

vWii forwarder should have a 4-letter capital title ID that starts with C-F,H-N,P-Q, or X

... Managed to revive/extract this info from Joostin's batch script :)
Thanks for all the info @XFlak :D
Now I'm going to mess up with emulators for make vWii forwarders for my games :)

For the record, feel free to rehost any of my old projects anywhere you want. I can't figure out how to get HacksDen working again, and I don't have the time to figure it out.

I used to be very nervous about letting people host my projects because I was worried I'd make something with a bad bug in it and wouldn't be able to take it down immediately if necessary (it's certainly happened to other developers), but I'm no longer working on any of my projects anymore and at this point they've all proven to be very stable, so there's no reason.
