EA has been hacked, suffering a data breach and stolen source code

Just shortly before Summer Games Fest began, Electronic Arts confirmed to a reporter at Vice that the company had been recently hacked, with an unidentified person or group stealing about 780GB of data from the publisher. The hacker responsible then took to a webforum, listing the contents of the data breach for sale, including the source code for FIFA 21, FIFA 22's debug tools, the entire source code for EA's Frostbite engine, certain private SDK and API keys, and more.

Source Code Sale Listing said:
We sell the FIFA 21 full src code and tools

debug tools, SDK And api keys
FIFA 21 matchmaking server
FIFA 22 api keys and some SDK & debugging tools
FrostBite src code & debug tools
Many proprietary EA games frameworks & SDKs
XBOX & SONY private SDK & api key
XB PS & EA pfx & crt with key (currently used)

You have full capability of exploiting on all ea services

Total dump = 780 GB

The breach apparently took place on June 6th, and utilized some form of "intrusion into [EA's| network". According to them, no data related to their customers or players was accessed or is at risk. They're also currently working with the Presque Isle Police Department in order to find out the person responsible. This is the continuation of a streak of data breaches affecting major game publishers, with Nintendo, Capcom, and most recently, CD Projekt Red all falling victim to them.

EA's Official Response said:
An amount of game source code and related tools were stolen. No player data was accessed, and we have no reason to believe there is any risk to player privacy. Following the incident, we’ve already made security improvements and do not expect an impact on our games or our business. We are actively working with law enforcement officials and other experts as part of this ongoing criminal investigation.

Maybe FIFA will actually have original, new content in future iterations lol
I would like to see a new FIFA Street for a change, or a FIFA with a Battle Royal system. Make it interesting for a change - let the players just pummel each other until the goalies have to duke it out. I'd play that, for sure. :gun:

To be fair that is how I normally play such games when I am compelled to be a second player for someone

"which button is hack/hard tackle?"

Just like real life football/school football I am not usually pressured into a second game because all their star players have injuries.

This is the way. Eliminate the strong specimens, the weaklings will fall in line.

Never was a fan of the franchise myself but the Speedball franchise is probably a better fit if you are going there

Where full hardware access/control?
Sure, that is the ideal. but at least the xbox one restrictions for Creator mode code, isn't as egregious as other environments. Sony's Net Yaroze basically insisted that the game had to fit in the operating ram of the PS1, with restrictions on being able to stream data to load from the disc at all.

And then of course the arbitrary restrictions on Other OS mode on the PS3 is what led to motivation to try and (re)gain GPU access. Sony's panic reflex to just scrub OtherOS mode instead of, say, improving it, led to more focused attempts to figure out what was going on, and finding out how much of a joke the PS3 Hypervisor is/was. Would emphasize it more, but as nobody seems interested in making CFW work on systems that shipped past 3.55, it's hard to completely discredit Sony's attempted DRM. Then again, part of me is still peeved that the PS3 is always-on for HDCP, thus requiring me to buy a cheapo HD converter box that happened to have an HDMI pass-through that scrubs it from the feed, so I could finally capture and stream it.

The only reason someone would want full hardware access, imho, for the Xbox one, I could see it being used as an live hd video editing station, since you have an hdmi input built right in, use it to do realtime effects, editing

Would be cool, I could see online streamers using this

Otherwise everyone else wants to load iso
