btw, I found out what happened with those github emails on my pc. they ended up in the spam folder. not sure how or why as others haven't, but I marked them as not spam, then deleted them. 
I think you are right, I will also switch to Evilnat because 4.88 is really great. Is also with the most active one who does the CFWs.

Is there any reason to switch from rebug cfw to evilnat cfw if you don't play online on ps3?
It depends on each one
I, for example, have followed the rebug team from the beginning, hence the insistence on the REX 4.84
It really depends on what features one finds neat and useful. I was quite attached to Rebug for a good while, but for me now was the time to move on. Needing PSN access myself without the extra SEN hassle, fan control improvements, autoRAP2RIF...

I actually never go online, that's why I stay with Rebug Rex, and you can go online with Dex without spoofing.
