Yes, they are separate things. Hekate is a bootloader which is used to start a (custom) firmware. Athmosphere is the CFW.
Generally speaking video guides are often dangerous, because they cannot be updatet in case of changes. This one seems to be relatively up to date, so it should be alright
i dont understand ? so i can stay on the old sx os ?? to play games ,games like cyber warrior wont work

It can be made user friendly with the help of AIO Switch Updater and for example Deepsea.i went back to sx os wil stay there as long as i can ,atmospthere is not user friendly for me
Not all games can be downgraded with NSC_Builder however.
