So... I just encrypt a NDS as it is? And that works?

Last time I did it (was on an original R4 mind you) that was all I had to do, of course making sure the .dat is named the same as it is in the kernel that belongs to the cart. I've never tried this with any R4 clones so maybe the encryption is different after all?
