So, the Xecuter SX chips are not available anywhere and there’s no soft mod available for the lite. I have a main switch also, but it’s patched via update and again, no SX chips. I noticed the Trinklet M0 chip running on the original switch, so I wonder is it possible to use the M0 chip on the switch lite?

You going to need an unpatched unit if you want to use a Trinket M0, or any of the SAMD21 Compatible Modchip. SX Core/Lite are harder to find now a day and no support for 11.0.1+. All the known hard modders from this forum have stopped providing services due to Nintendo's cease and desist order.

So, to clarify, right now effectively there are no viable modchip solutions for patched Switch systems, and even if one finds the SX Core/Lite, they are still stuck on older firmware with no support. Correct?

You can run Atmosphere on SX Core/SX Lite but you need to flash Spacecraft-NX, no firmware update for SX OS.

Not true, no need to flash Spacecraft-NX, that is even risky. Use SX Gear 1.1 boot.dat and that is it, you can launch hekate with it.

You can't dump key with Lockpick_RCM with SX Gear, so people who wants to have their keys on erista/mariko unit you just going to run into a blank screen. Also you have to press the + volume button when SX OS is booting to get access to the bootloader menu to load hekate, for people above 11.0.0 if they don't press the button they will just get a black screen.

False, again. I have done so perfectly fine. Please, do not misguide people.

sx gear 1.1 boot.dat/.ini > hekate > lockpick_RCM, it just works. Also, do not mix things up, no need to bring sx os to the discussion, at all.

Try loading lockpick_rcm and getting the keys without going to hekate.

LOL, grasping at straws and changing discourse as the discussion goes, eh ?

a) as does everybody ? all of us use hekate to chainload secondary payloads.
b) again, and regardless, you can do everything with sx gear 1.1 boot.dat.
c) please, stop misguiding people, more so on cases like this, where the risk involved is awful for no functional gains.

While it is true that you can chainload into fusee-secondary payload to load Atmosphere, not everyone like the idea of chainloading, you can't load fusee-primary.bin from the SX gear bootloader menu, and when you try lockpick_RCM, you can't obtain your keys if you don't use hekate as your replacement bootloader, what is the point if you go from the SX OS bootloader menu, just to chainload into hekate to chainload into another payload, when you can use an open source SX Core/SX Lite compatible firmware like Spacecraft-NX.

Said someone who very, very probably chainloads everything via hekate :)

I get your point but it is very tedious, I use hekate as my bootloader on trinket m0 unit, but jumping through two bootloader to boot a CFW is quite tedious, that why some people prefer to use spacecraft-NX to reduce how many bootloader you got to use.

It is not auto going from SX Bootloader into Hekate, plus on 11.0.1 and above you need to press + volume button while it boot to get into SX Bootloader menu.
sx gear boot.dat/.ini loads hekate and hekate configured to autoload atmosphere. I have several switches setup like this, fully atomatic and seamless. Again, no need to reference sx os boot.dat, which we do not need at all in this scheme.
