If it crashes often then have you tried using 2nd tour only? My game does bug when there are custom characters involved.

What I've found is that the modpacks may crash when trying to start a race, if this happens, retry again and again, once a single race actually starts though, that should be a safe play session now. At least that's how it's been on my end, once a race properly loads up, you're safe and all further races should load up without issue from then on and you shouldn't crash at all in that session. Really don't know why it's like this, I've not been able to determine if a specific mod is responsible for the crashes, it really doesn't seem like one is from my extensive play testing.

thats the way its going if it works it works ....but a handful of tracks are just pure glitchy texture meshes >? but most so far most are fine ... this is the 1st mod pack ive used on my WIIU further more i borrowed it to a work mate for about 9 months & i got it back to try this out !!! & its super cool respect again MikaDubbz for all the effort you must have put into this ... just curious what is MK8 FX its the only one i didnt try becouse it looked the same as original MK8 track wise ... also it there a NSMB WiiU MOD Yet ..or any other noteworthy WiiU MODS....i missing out on

The only real glitchy textured track as I recall is the Killer Ship track, though I saw an update from the creator of that track and its looking way better, I don't think they've released it yet, but when they do, it's real easy to swap out the old version of the course with the new version.

FX is just Vanilla Mario Kart 8 with all the UI changes consistent through the modpacks, oh and Rainbow Road N64 is 3 full laps there too.

There are a few individual NSMBU mods, but I personally haven't seen enough there to motivate me to compile a bunch into a modpack like I have for Sm4sh and MK8 here. Should I do another Wii U modpack, I'm leaning toward Mario 3D World as there are a fair amount of mods there that could be combined for a cool new experience, I could also do a BOTW modpack I've put together, but the more mods you combine in that game, the more unstable things get lol, and I'm not happy with how frequently the modpack I have there likes to crash, maybe I'll refine that one more and possibly release it down the line.

Anyway, if you're looking for the site where many of the mods in these modpacks come from, it's gamebanana.com check it out, there isn't a ton of Wii U games, but there are a few.

Any other mods/modpack planned @MikaDubbz?
Not at the moment, I'll probably update this suite of modpacks at some point, I believe a new course or 2 have popped up since I first compiled and posted this. So that should come in the near future.

Beyond that, no promises, as mentioned earlier, I also put together a Smash Deluxe modpack for Wii U that I think came out great also available on my YouTube channel. I do have a cool BOTW Wii U modpack that if it were less buggy I might share, but would definitely need some tweaking before I do. Beyond that, I've seen enough mods for SM3DW that I could feasibly put something cool together for, but no promises, and even if i do, that modpack probably wouldn't be all that amazing.

Are there any updates coming to the mods?
There is a new track or 2 (edit: actually looks like 3 or 4!) I could add, and I believe Killer Ship got a much needed update including placed item boxes. I am aware of this stuff and adding an update for them really shouldn't be too hard or time consuming, and yet I find myself dragging my feet on getting to it. I intend to get to it, but I'm also in no rush. I'll soft aim for a new update within a month, could happen way sooner, or could take some more time than that, but if I set the goal of a month that should help motivate me to work on it.

Can you permanentely install the modpack Invitational with fipiiu?
Feasibly you should be able to, I'm aware of someone who made their Mario Kart 8 mods permanent through such a means. I've never done it, as I have multiple modpacks, and there are times when I want to play straight up vanilla MK8 on the Wii U, so I'm not personally interested in trying it, but again it should be doable.

Also, while I'm on this subject, expect an update in the next few days for Invitational and Invitational Lite for a few new courses and updates to a few already in there.

I have tried using this mod via cafiine and it wouldn't work, any idea on how to help with this, it just wouldnt load
Can you be a little more clear? How doesn't it work? Do the modpacks show up to select at all when you launch MK8 after launching SDCafiine? Or do the modpacks boot but then the game freezes when you launch a track?

Cuz if your problem is the latter, the solution is to just reload and try again, it's a little finicky, but once a race properly loads, all races seem to load without issue in that play session. If the modpacks aren't appearing at all when you launch the game, then that means you have not properly placed them exactly where they need to be on your SD card.

While I'm here, to anyone interested, I know this is long delayed, but I do have a sizable update coming that will replace all the remaining old but retextured tracks in Invitational and 2nd Tour with brand new tracks to Mario Kart 8. Hopefully I'll get that out by the end of the week.

EDIT: Said update is being held off on, as a proper stage expansion for the Wii U that has been available through CTGP Cafe is now open to be modded, so I'm actually moving into that environment. Early results are great, however, not everything functions yet, so this update may be awhile yet. I might push a finale non stage-expansion entry in the coming days, but I'm very excited for properly expanding the stages now

I live in Australia and have the game digitally downloaded so I'm not certain what the ID code for the game is i currently have it as the Us digital copy 16 digit number. If i go into Sd cafiine it says put your files into SD:/sdcafiine/TITLEID/MODPACK/content, or SD:sdcaffine/TITLEID/MODPACKaoc could you also just fully clarify on what all of these mean just so I know for sure.
