Can someone share mame or fba playlist or this is not allowed here as well? I downloaded mame 2003 mame 2016 fba neo romsets and its not recognized only few roms show up....
EDIT can someone tell me full name of arcade romset that will be recognized with xbox retroarch ?Im downloading now mame 2010 full non-merged romset hope this one will be recognized...

Final Burn Alpha would be the best collection of ROMs, as it has many of the late 90s arcade machine games. If you are having issues with Neo Geo games, please be aware you need the correct neogeo.zip BIOS file in the LocalState \ system folder. Each ROM set has a different neogeo.zip, the correct BIOS file for FBA will have a size of 0.91 MB . Also some ROMs work better with different emulators, so try FB Neo and then FBAlpha 2012 for best compatibility.

Hey could someone help me find a guide to get dolphin working in Retroarch on the Xbox Series X? I am having trouble trying to see the game in the retail mode Retroarch and dev mode Retroarch. With the retail mode Retroarch my gamecube games run but all I see is a black screen. Switching from GL to D3D12 or D3D11 results in a flashing black or blue screen upon Retroarch start up and I end up having to reinstall the app since I cannot navigate being that it's flashing on my screen everytime I'd open Retroarch after the video driver switch.

When you switch to d3d11 or dsd12 save your settings and restart retroarch.
Yes I was explaining about that in my post. Doing so makes my RetroArch unable to display the menu and I get a flashing blue or flashing black screen. I have to uninstall and reinstall RetroArch to fix the issue it creates.

What are the best overall settings (like video and audio) and where do I put BIOs? I have both Retroarch69+ and QZARCH-[XS] on a original Xbox One and no dev account, but do have the My Files Explorer app (if that helps).

with the My Files Explorer app, create a new folder called 'dc' in the folder LocalState \ system

then navigate to it (LocalState \ system \ dc) via the Xbox portal / My Files Explorer , then upload what ever BIOS files you have for Dreamcast (dc_boot.bin, dc_flash.bin) or SEGA arcade machines (naomi.zip, awbios.zip )

please see above post for my recommended settings for Dreamcast via flycast core

This guy seems to have integrated Supermodel emulator into Retropie, I am trying to convince him to upload his code to the offical GitHub so it can be released to the public (https://github.com/libretro/supermodel), fingers crossed !

OK so a bit off topic but I have installed Supermodel on my Raspberry Pi 4, its runs very slow a full screen (1027 x 768) but it does emulate near perfectly at the same time. I am in the process of overclocking / underclocking each game to see what combination improves performance but I have a feeling it will only be playable at 512 x 384 resolution.

Fingers crossed the Retroarch team picks up on this in the near future & creates a version thats optimized to run on XBOX hardware !

Please ref the following website for downloadable zips / instructions: https://mechafatnick.co.uk/2021/06/13/becoming-a-super-model-adding-model-3-games-to-your-pi4/

here is the GitHub: https://github.com/Mechafatnick/SuperModelPi

Once i got the ftp is there a tut or anything? i dont wanna screw up and brick my box
If you launch the Retroarch app and press Load Content, you'll be able to find where your Retroarch folder is located on the system's internal storage. From there, keep note of that location and launch DurangoFTP. Start the connection and use an app on your PC to connect (I'm using WinSCP), then it's just as simple as navigating to that folder and placing your bios in the system folder. I'm using an Xbox Series S so it might be a different location, but it should be the exact same process. Hope this helps!

Make sure Retroarch is looking for the correct location of your system folder in Settings > File Browser (you mentioned ds, N64, gba, gbc, snes - none of those machines require the system folder, so those wouldn't be a problem)
Also make sure to change the video driver to d3d11 in Settings > drivers > video - it defaults to gl, this will work with the other machines you've played but not Gamecube.
