'Cyberpunk 2077' returns to the PlayStation Store later this month

Half a year after having been pulled from the PlayStation Store, Cyberpunk 2077 will return to the digital storefront. The news comes from an official regulatory filing by CD Projekt Red which reads:

In relation to Current Report no. 66/2020 of 18 December 2020, the Management Board of CD PROJEKT S.A. with a registered office in Warsaw hereby publicly discloses the decision by Sony Interactive Entertainment to reinstate the availability of the digital edition of Cyberpunk 2077 on PlayStation Store, effective on 21 June 2021.

However, those playing on the original PS4 might still face performance issues, according to a statement from Sony to news outlet Polygon. “SIE can confirm that Cyberpunk 2077 will be re-listed on PlayStation Store starting June 21, 2021,” a Sony spokesperson told Polygon. “Users will continue to experience performance issues with the PS4 edition while CD Projekt Red continues to improve stability across all platforms. SIE recommends playing the title on PS4 Pro or PS5 for the best experience.”

I played it as soon as it launched on ps4. It was really immersive despite the performance issues but what really kills the game is all the bugs and crashing. I got a 3080 and assumed the experience would be better there but it still has so many bugs/issues that take me out of it. Sad because if you take away the hype and the bugs, its a really great game.

I played the game on launch on a PS5. On PS5, it's a great game. The world is stunning, immersive, and awe-inspiring to discover. The writing and characters are great, and the side stories are phenomenal. Good frame rate and performance, too. The only technical issue I had was that I had to make a burner American PSN account because the game was censored on my Japanese PSN account, despite the fact that I went through the effort of getting an American copy. But that bug has since been fixed.

Playing on a PS4 though...nope, wouldn't have even bothered. I would have just waited until I had a PS5.

Glad to see it coming back. But maybe it should be PS5 only?

It indeed is a good game, definitely had a good time with it, just finished it recently. It isn't as amazing as the hype wanted it to be but it's still great imo.

Only gripe with it is that the story didn't wow me, and I found a lot of the time I have no clue what characters are talking about and later on I stopped caring, only important bits stood out. The whole world is a bit too deep, either that or it isn't explained well at all, I'm not one to read every database entry.

I got a 3080 and the performance is great actually, which should be expected of a 3080 lol. 70+fps at max/RT with a minor tweak here and there and the game looks gorgeous and plays smoothly. Though there are certain areas that go to the 50's which is pretty annoying.

My whole playthrough was almost free of bugs surprisingly. But the ones present were pretty damn annoying. There's one where the reticle doesn't go away unless you reload, one where footstep sounds disappear completely which require a restart of the game, both of which were very frequent.

Even so I still recommend it, it's still a great game. I got it for $30 and I can say that despite the flaws, it's definitely worth a little more.

well...for lack of better judgment I have been looking into finally trying it...now to wait for a decent sale cause you are all kinds of crazy if you think I'm paying full price for this shit show

why would you pay for it on psn, physical copy's new for ps4 are around 35$ for awhile now so get a physical copy imo.

Why would you say that? Have you even tried it? I suspect your one of those people who just read the top news articles and assume that it isn't good. You should really just give it a try. And if you did and you just don't like it... well next gen open world action adventure shooters just aren't for you.

my lack of knowing shows how little I care. I would say I threw it on the back burner but that's if I even had it on one at all XD

Don't worry too much about that member, they don't like any game and complains about every game every post they make.

Probably 1080p 30~40 FPS on low. I tried on i7 4771 + 1060 3GB with 1080P and got around that FPS number. This test was with an older version of the game tho (I think 2 patches after release). Not sure about the new one.
