Homebrew More consistent game speed on Citra?

What is the best way to get more consistent game speed on Citra on PC? When playing a game (Mario 3D Land) I find that the game can drop about 20% game speed when things are loading/changing before it snaps up to 102% and settles back around 100%. It causes a lot of jittering and inconsistent audio; is there a way to prevent it from doing this?

Turn on triple buffering if it offers it, and maybe V-sync on? You could try and change the core affinity to only 2 CPU cores as well in Task manager in the details tab.

I couldn't find an option for triple buffering, but V-sync was already on. I did change core affinity to 2 cores only and that seemed to help a little bit; it wasn't slowing down as much from what I can tell. Is there a specific reason why dropping down the core affinity to 2 rather than keeping it higher helps? Also, is it normal for slowdowns to occur when new areas/enemies are loaded? Trying to determine whether it's just how the emulator runs or if it's my setup (I'm unfortunately stuck with integrated Intel graphics atm).

I had this issue too, and your suggestion made a huge difference.

I'm not really sure, I just know some games and apps run better on 2 cores than on 4, 6, or 8.
