'Mario + Rabbids: Sparks Of Hope' shows up on the eShop ahead of official announcement

It might be a hunch but Ubisoft might have planned a surprise announcement for a sequel to Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle during its E3 press conference today. But surprise it is no more as the game leaked online by none other than Nintendo. Titled Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, the sequel has its own eShop page, complete with screenshots, a synopsis and a launch window.

Below are the 3 screenshots of the game available at the time of writing:

As for the game's description and highlighted features, you can find them below:

Team up with Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Rabbid Peach, Rabbid Luigi, and their friends on a galactic journey to defeat a malevolent entity and save your Spark companions. Explore planets throughout the galaxy as you uncover mysterious secrets and compelling quests!
  • Build your dream team with three heroes from an eclectic roster of nine.
  • Take down all new bosses, along with some familiar enemies throughout the galaxy.
  • Rescue the adorable Sparks throughout the galaxy, who provide distinct powers that will help you in battle.
  • Unleash your heroes' skills but be strategic as you dash your enemies, team jump on your allies, and hide behind covers.

According to the official eShop listing, Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope is expected to launch sometime in 2022. It won't be long before we hear more of the game, and possibly a trailer during Ubisoft E3 event today (if nothing else leaks prior...).

Miyamoto HATES any kind of story in a Mario game since he got a hate boner due to the Brawl videos being spoiled by YouTube and has translated that hate to anything with Mario on it, anything but a very barebones story is banned thanks to him.

With the only studio that had worked on M&L since the first game being gone, M&L is dead because the franquise was not making money, why it was not making money? Because they were doing remakes instead of new games and because the Switch had been out for a few years so people had not much motivation to keep buying 3DS games.

Regardless of anything you stated, M&L being dead is pure speculation. Not a factual thing. There's no reason another team couldn't make one, and there's no reason a M&L title can't appear on something outside of the 3DS.

Why?

The only thing people liked about the game was beating the crsp out of the stupid bunnies.

And Nintendo has butched their own RPG like franchises like Paper Mario that has not been a RPG in a long time and M&L that is dead.

Plus you know who insisting the game should have "no story at all".
the first game was a preety good rpg/tactics like game seriously saying it was bad is just dumb, there are way worse games made by nintendo themselves like kirby star allies and yoshi crafted world... so yeah ubisoft actually made a fun and challenging strategy game imo.

Also, who the heck is that black/green-haired Rabbid under Mario?
Was gonna ask the same thing, lol. Looks like a Shadown wannabe but with green markings instead of red.
Bet it's gonne be the "edgy" char but since its a rabbit, it will totally fail at being edgy, eh.

I LOVED The Origami King
I'm sorry for you

I'm sorry for you

1) They aren't rabbits.
2) Edgy, you mean like you're trying to be in your post with words like wannabe and "edgy"?
3) Please, don't. There's no need and it's just a really weird thing for you to say to begin with. Plus how do I know you've even played it? Bashing games a person has never played is common enough here. So....
4) Go play some Call of Duty or something
5) Thanks. Bye.

1 and 2 I was replying to Akira, but k.
1) Uh, they're not rabbits? Mean... and what are they then? Unless you mean "it's a rabbid, with a d, its different"
2) Am just saying the looks of that green one seems to try being "edgy", lol. More than edgy, I am... dumb, ha.
3) I played it. Is it a step forward compared to the two previous games it came out... but it's still not good.
There's lots of things I don't like and some just hate about Oregano king, but I don't feel like writing an essay atm.
4) Hell naw, I don't like those copy-paste FPS games, no thanks. I'mma go play Miitopia instead.
5) Aight, seeya.

Doesn't matter who you were replying to. They are alien creatures that resemble rabbits. So yes, "it's a rabbid, with a d, its different".

I wasn't saying you don't have a right to dislike a game, it's that you made the comment "I'm sorry for you." because I enjoyed it.

Miitopia? Perhaps you enjoy the gameplay more, but the writing in Origami King is leaps and bound better (imo) than Miitopia. Just how much better the writing alone is makes Paper Mario the better game for me personally.

I do like miitopia for a variety of reasons, just the amusement of seeing the characters you can make interact with eachother its one part of it. It's charming, and the face editor of that game is sure something else, uh. Ya seen some of the stuff people have made for it? It's crazy, ahah.

And welp, now I understand better. Again, I'm sorry for ya.
Also, before you reply, since it's pointless to continue this discussion, let's just put it like this:
You like the game, I hate it. No reason to argue more about it.
Aight?

No, not "aight", holmes. Your entire "sorry for ya" thing that you've rattled off twice now simply because I enjoy a game that you do not is really sad and pathetic. But you do you. Maybe go outside and look at some grass though? Might cheer ya up a bit, little fella. A huge difference between us outside of games of choice, is that I do NOT feel sorry for you one single bit. I'm much more inclined to point my finger at you and laugh.

People are saying this is a Switch Plus game, Ubisoft can't say that in the trailer because Nintendo haven't announced the console yet. I think on the 16th, Nintendo will show this game as one of the Switch Plus games.

well the game itself is very badly optimized and doesnt even reach more than 675p when docked and 400p on handheld, its one the blurriest nintendo first party ips on switch, and the gameplay is very uninspiring, this game would have been much better at 30 fps and 1080p rather than nintendo choosing to go for 60 fps and under 675p on all modes.

Besides that gameplay wise is... not as good as 3DS wooly World that while not as graphically impressive as the Wii U version is a better game that the Wii U version of wooly Worldto the point many call it a Polished Port.
