Hacking How to play ROM hacks in RetroArch (SNES, GB, etc)?

Is there anything specific I need to do? They didn't seem to run like normal, say, Game Boy games do. Do I need to put them in a specific folder or something separate from regular games? Or maybe I'm just doing something completely wrong? I've never tried playing hacks before. Thanks.

@IRHP ,you need to create a subfolder in ux0:data/ retroarch/rom called SNESGB,PSX etc ... once retroarch is started,load the core for the emulator you want to use and then load the game.
