Thanks …. I guess I need to look into Tinfoil or NsC Builder, neither one I don’t know much about.

I'm similar to you i think. I just use a usb hdd with all my xci's on it. So super convenient at the moment. The fact i would need to install my games is just a PITA. However, there aren't any other options to be honest.

I really don't get why people are so afraid to switch over to Atmosphere.
It really works perfectly for me and with a 512GB MicroSD card I don't have any need of any external HDD for my games.
If the need should ever arise I will probably upgrade to a 1TB card and that should be good enough until Nintendo releases a new console.

Some people use both, For example you can use a hidden emunand and easily switch between them using the same saves/installs etc and have the best of both worlds. If Atmosphere ever had XCI loading from USB - then probably most people that use SXOS would swap, but a lot of people use XCI from hard drive so they can keep the games on the sd card for portable use and when at home using the dock, they can literally play thousands of games without needing to install any of them.
Each to their own - I sometimes use Atmosphere when I want to use emuiibo or some other plugin, but apart from that, most of the time I just use SXOS.

But if you have thousands of games then you are just hoarding for the sake of hoarding.
You don't actually need all those games. Most of those titles won't even be more than shovelware which will only sit there untouched. I think it's safe to say that even if you play a LOT, 1TB will be enough.

And if you feel like hoarding pirated games, why not just keep them on any old PC HDD?

You've read my post and totally missed the point, so there's no point replying further - if you don't get it by now - you never will.

For me, no installation and xci mounting is too convenient to sacrifice

@mrdude @DaniPoo have games on the SD card for when you out and USB HDD for the Dock (TV) so have access to your entire library without needing to swap cartridges or download and install games

it's a convinced factor, I get it. I have 330 switch games, 100 are eshop games :)

For those still using SX OS current SXOS_Beta_V3.1.0 - which firmware are you using, 10.2.0 or 11.0 (heard it has bugs)? Cannot seem to find a clean thread explaining the SX OS latest status, now the TX forum is down. Thanks

I am using 11.0.1 frakenfirware/hybrid in several swiches. The emunands I use all have serial removed using the NRO version of incognito. So far so very good.

I don't understand why people feel the need to jump to Atmosphere when 100% of games work on SXOS. With xci and HDD support atmosphere doesn't have?
