BluUBomb - A primary Wii U entrypoint via bluetooth

H2x1_generic_WiiU_image1280w.jpg

BluUBomb exploits the Wii U's bluetooth stack to gain IOSU kernel access via bluetooth.

Not to be confused with BlueBomb for the Wii and Wii Mini.

What does this mean?
This means you can get IOSU code execution by only pairing an emulated Wii Remote to the system.

This should be useful to fix a few softbricks on the Wii U side.
You don't need a working browser or Mii Maker.
if you've messed up with regionhax and can no longer access the browser, BluUBomb can fix this as well.

The BluUBomb repository contains a few different kernel binaries for different purposes:

loadrpx.bin
Launches a launch.rpx from the root of your SD card on the next application launch.

regionfree.bin
Applies IOSU patches to temporarily remove region restrictions.
This should be helpful if you've locked yourself out of your applications due to permanent region modifications.

wupserver.bin
Launches a wupserver instance directly after using bluubomb.
This gets you full system access remotely via wupclient (replace the IP in line 29 with the one of your Wii U).
This works without having to leave the controller pairing screen.

@GaryOderNichts , I might try the virtualbox and debian 10 in the next few days. I'm not feeling too happy today, which is the reason I'm not really posting right now or else I'd try it. I just need a copy of the debian 10 iso, which I'll look for on google. then, I'll try testing where the wsl version failed me.

This is great.... for the people who have a Wii U.

The number of Wiu U games that don't have ports somewhere else just keeps shrinking.
I mean the same applies for the Switch really, it's library of exclusives is really lack luster to say the least. Though, the Wii U had a good amount of them at it's release. It's still a great console for hacks, online, vwii, virtual console and even build quality.

You should capitalize the second 'U' so it reads "Blu-U-Bomb" to diferentiate it a bit more with BlueBomb for the Wii.

Don't have a WiiU available right now so can't test it, but I'm trying to get one.
That's a great idea. If staff reads this feel free to replace "BluuBomb" with "BluUBomb" in the title.
will this allow me to patch my wiiu permently with cfw without me having to buy brain age?
No, this doesn't do any permanent modifications.

I was thinking about a logo for BluUBomb and of course the first thing that came to mind would be some sort of blue bomb with the WiiU's "U" logo together. But since I'm crap with Paint/Gimp some other talented folks would have to make it. :P

@GaryOderNichts , do you know if this can fix something beyond a sys_prod.xml (regionhax) issue, like can it fix cbhc brick? I know how cbhc works by copying the original system.xml to syshax.xml, then modifying the system.xml.

Can I finally replace CBHC?

I think this is mostly to get in the homebrew launcher (i.e. or to fix bricks or screwups), so no, I don't think so.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

like this can fix an indexiine brick, since it doesn't use the browser. or region hax issue as well. I asked about fixing a cbhc brick, so maybe that too.

This method seems pretty dope. I'll give it a blast on my system... I should be modding a family members but after been accused of stealing their 8gb microsd and swapping it for a 1gb card i don't think I'll be bothering :rofl2:

I like the Switch but the console is delicate as hell and let's not even start with the joycons.

...not to take anything away from what you've accomplished @GaryOderNichts . I wasn't sure if it sounded that way. I'll probably even write a tutorial on getting it to work after I try virtualbox. I'm pretty sure I understand how to install linux with that. it's not too complicated really. it would be part of a new pinky's wii u tutorials. I only did the fake ticket one, since this site didn't have it. I made a real pinky's wii u tutorials on psx place, it's just the other tutorials had been done by other people, so why do them again? lol

I've already had to replace my left joycon analogue and only had it for 4 months aswel. And now my right joycon stick keeps saying its detached while playing in handheld mode... I don't even know what that issue could be considering i can't find anyone else having the same thing happening
