Homebrew vWii Bricked. FTPiiU Everywhere doesn't work. vWii Decaffeinator also doesn't work.

I think like YEARS ago, I followed some YouTube tutorial (big mistake) on making the Weather and News channel work again. Said it was safe for Wii U's vWii, but of course it wasn't, really. Got my vWii bricked, couldn't boot into it (gives me a black screen when booting into vWii). I tried using FTPiiU Everywhere and replaced the files of the vWii's NAND (multiple times!) with one of my friend's vWii backup. Nope, still doesn't work.

I kinda gave up after that, and I recently came across a new tool, vWii Decaffeinator. Almost immediately I booted up my Wii U, installed the tool, and tried the "Agressive" option first. Went through the Wii U update successfully. I tried booting my vWii and.... same results as before. Just a black screen.

I tried every option afterwards, Light Mode, even Advanced Options and checking every IOS to redownload. And yet the vWii is still bricked?

I know unbricking a vWii is not very easy, but this is just ridiculous! I need help, peeps!

sounds like a question for @GaryOderNichts . I think he's the dev for decaffeinator. I've never used it as I've never bricked my vwii.

Have you tried regenerating the setting.txt?
Should also be an option on the menu.

Welp, I actually fixed the issue! Somehow took me five tries, but I did an "agressive" mode and it seemed to work! I had a feeling it was because I didn't download vWii Decaffineator from the official site, but a Wii U Homebrew Shop.

Dunno how to close a GBAtemp thread (new to this site, here!), so I'm just gonna leave it open in case I run into any future issues or if anyone runs into a similar problem. So far, it's working great!

You can't close threads on gbatemp only a mod can but don't worry it's not necessary.

And yeah, I forgot to mention I also did that before my 5th attempt. I think that was the trick that made it work.
Also, THANK YOU for making the Decaffeinator! Years of trying, desperation, and I finally got the bricked vWii working after it's long slumber! You're a lifesaver, mate. I owe you one.

Unfortunately, I couldn't regenerate the setting.txt file because I keep getting a regeneration failed error every time I try. Looks like I'll be stuck with my bricked vWii permanently unless I completely format my Wii U system, thus losing everything.
