Hi there,

Accidently updated Tinfoil on my Switch and system crashed. Trying to inject payload again but getting this error -

unknown pkg1 version
Make Sure you have the latest version of TegraExplorer

PKG1: '20210422145837'
Grabbing keys from prod.keys....

a small window in the middle of the screen says:

An error occured!

Downloaded latest TegraExplorer from the Github

Can you please help. New to CFW.

What exactly did you update? There is a new firmware out (12.0.2) that is not yet supported by Atmosphere so if that is what you updated then you have to wait for a new version. Should be out around tomorrow according to SciresM.

But what payload are you sending? If you want to start your Switch with CFW you should use either Hekate or Fusee-primary (unless you use SX OS) and not Tegraexplorer.

Thank you for the quick reply. I clicked Download by mistake when I was starting tinfoil. After that, system crashed and gave error:

Fatal error: [NXBOOT] Unable to identify package1!
Press Power to Reboot.

Using Hakate v5.5.5

Wait for new Atmosphère version. Should appear today or tomorrow.

Noted. Just wondering how just clicking 'Download' on TinFoil could have messed up with the CFW this bad and would new Atmosphere update simply fix it?

It probably asked you to update the Switch firmware.
Can you still boot OFW?

Yes OFW still working fine. No it was just Download on the Tinfoil and it took a second and then I got the attached error.

Checked OFW and it’s working. Current Version is 12.0.2 - seems I’ve updated the firmware :wacko:

Is it easier to downgrade or easier to wait for new Atmosphere to come? If it’s the later, I should simply update the atmosphere folder on SD card or it usually requires some additional steps too?

Sorry for many basic questions, brand new to CFW world.

Less than 24 hours for a new Atmosphere build.

Your story is a bit misleading because you don't know the underlying cause. Since you don't seem to be using incognito, you're getting software update notifications when you start any title. So when you started Tinfoil (any title) NIntendo was like, "oh, an update! Wanna update!?" and you pressed yes. Tinfoil itself did not provide this update to you.

You probably have a banned console and you thought, "I have no need for incognito!" Let this be a lesson to you to just use incognito next time.

Unless you were using syscfw. Then you just should've known better.

There is a new release of Atmosphere that supports firmware 12.0.2
