Hi,
I have a modded wii with wiiflow and an usb with many games (mario party 8 included).
The game runs at 30 fps and i don't know why. I tried using the pal60Hz video mode but it still runs at 30 fps.
Can you help me?
Thanks!

Mario Party 8 does run at 30 FPS, which is disappointing and no video setting will increase the frame rate.

One clarification:
60Hz does not mean 60 FPS. The frame rate can be affected by the Hz at which a console is working at, but it's not a 1:1thing.

Mario Party 8 is an example. At 60Hz runs at 30 fps, but if you were playing at normal PAL, it would be 50Hz and 25 fps.

Then why some people can play the game with 60 fps?

You mean an emulator where it's possible to remove framerate cap/install some 60FPS patches or do you have some gameplay video of the game running on Wii in 60FPS? I'm really curious :v

I only know of a code for the japanese version and it's only for the boards, and even then I don't know how well it works.

I checked again and it seems like Mario Party 8 wasn't even compatible with Pal60, it's a 50Hz only for some amazingly stupid reason. You could try to force it to Pal60 (or PAL 480p if you have component cables) with homebrew, such as loaders if you're playing the game from a USB device, I do not remember what people used for forcing video modes on discs though.

So if you get to play it at a 60Hz video mode you will see some improvement on the frame rate at least...
