I’m not sure if anyone besides me cares about playing DanceDanceRevolution II on the Game Pad but the wiki lists that as not working, and I can confirm that using the force classic controller option it definitely works. I just played for like an hour. Not sure if it’s been brought up in 364 pages or not but that’s a lot to read so I’m not going to. I just decided to give it a shot and see for myself.

Inject Smash Brothers DX with TeconMoon,
When started, the analog stick of the GameCube controller is always in the lower left
It will be in the entered state.
Is this a problem with nintendont?
Also, is there a way to solve this?

To get straight to the point, I recently started using TeconMoon's WiiVC Injector to try to inject Wii and Game Cube games onto my recently re-homebrewed Wii U. I've only tried Game Cube games so far but haven't been successful. I input the game iso into the injector program, downloaded the most recent version of nintendont through the injector, and compiled the file to be installed onto a USB via WUP Installer GX2. The game installs just fine through WUP, I re-enter my Wii U home screen through Mocha to see the game appeared to install just fine. Then I try to run the game. The expected splash screen pops up, the system asks if I want to use my Wii U game pad as the controller, to which I say yes, and then if I want to only use the game pad screen, to which I also say yes. The screen then goes black, the Wii logo pops up in the middle of the screen as if you were entering the vWii, then goes black again. When I try to do anything nothing happens, except for when I tap the screen, a no stylus marker pops up in the top corner, but the game doesn't actually show up.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong or ideas on trouble shooting? I've been at this for a few hours now with no fixes yet...

I’m getting a very similar error with the injects I managed to get installed with WUP no clue how to fix it ☹️

Have you tried disabling autoboot? My Wii U had the same issue of just booting up a black screen with any Game Cube game, but it worked after disabling autoboot in the injector. It sucks having to go through the Nintendont menu each time, but this was the only way I was able to get mine to work.

Disabled auto boot, still no change.
Do you have to homebrew the virtual wii as well for this to work? I tried factory resetting my Wii U and homebrewing it from scratch to see if that would fix anything, but no luck.

I've been trying to get GameCube games to work for nearly 12 hours now with no luck. As I said in previous posts, the farthest I can get is booting up the game and the screen going black. Something I just noticed is that when I try to boot up the games the Nintendont screen never shows up, even though it does in all of the guides I've seen. I know that I have Nintendont installed because I put it on my SD card from the Injector program, but is there any specific Nintendont settings that might be causing this? Maybe I need to run it in 4:3? I'm running out of ideas...

You don't install Nintendont from the injector, you only get the settings for Nintendont from the injector. You have to google Nintendont and install it on your own.

Actually in the injector under the "Nintendont SD Card Menu" there's a button that says "Download Latest Nintnedont from GitHub", and when I go into my vWii homebrew channel I can see Nintendont in there.
I'm starting to think that it's a problem with my Wii U or with the Injector files, since I've tried both GameCube and Wii games, with the same black screen results for both.
Aside from WUP installer and Mocha, is there any other programs that I need to make it work? Or anything specific about the .ISO or .WBFS I need to do?

Ah sorry forgot about that button been over a year since I've used it. WBFS files are Wii games only. Make sure Gamecube games are ISO I think there's .nkit or there is for Wii can't remember Gamecube and they don't work.

I remember some people having problems with Gamecube games only and it is the black screen and there was no solution even from the person who made the injector. If Wii games work then that's probably your problem too. AFAIK no one has ever come up with a solution. You could search "black screen" and choose this thread only and start reading.

Try a gamecube iso that's not injected but by running Nintendont in vwii. If they work you may have to settle for non-injected Gamecube games. I think you can make a forwarder for Nintendont.

I have the nintendont forwarder, but I think it's pretty easy to find online. I don't think we can share it on here though. that's what I use with cube games. it's a forwarder for the wii u side of the system as well. I don't have the latest nintendont (think I have 5.something), because if it works, might as well continue using it. I haven't found anything that didn't work including widescreen and memory cards.

It amazes me how much of a mystery the Wii U still is in regard to Wii and GameCube injections. After looking around online for a while, there's not much from people having this black screen for Wii and GameCube injects like I'm having. Some people say that you can fix GameCube by changing the .iso to a .gcm, but generally no one knows what causes the black screen and hard lock or how to fix it.
Anyone know of any threads that might have an answer? Or anyone have an answer themselves on the cause or a fix? I'd really rather not have to get multiple hard drives to store my games, I just got a 2TB drive earlier today...

The best resource there is probably anywhere is this thread. Hit the search button in the top right, type "black screen" checkmark this thread only.

You may find where the original creator of this injector said himself that it was crap and he couldnt believe anyone still used it. I found it great but I didn't have the black screen problem. Seems to be random or unknown reason.
